by Dogpatch ini want to write a short article on the new wt sects (not considered harmful cults) of the watchtower that have been developing in the watchtower world, if for nothing more than to scare the watchtower into the full-blown realization that their greatest fears have now begun to develop into early fruition.. many witnesses have had enough, and are demonstrating it by "shaking the dust off their feet" and forming their own associations, registered or not, with the noble motives of helping lost witnesses and ex-witnesses.
this information will not be used to discredit them, rather to advertise them.
(in the article i will leave the word "sects" out because many consider it an evil term... but hey, the watchtower is a sect of judaism/christianity itself and also a high-control cult.

Reading is over-rated
by yadda yadda 2 inhave you ever seen people who just constantly read.
they read at every given opportunity, at the gym, on the bus and train, at the beach, all weekend, even while holidaying overseas they mostly just read.
you even see them going down the street holding a book while walking, like some kind of zombie.

the anxiety of stockpiling books/amazon owning me for yrs. to the point i had to box and store out of sight for the future. i don't trust myself and have been reluctant to order a kindle, etc. i used to carry couple books in car (still do at x's). maybe kindle, i-pad is the answer to just pick up lines and inch by inch it. impressed by avid readers who obviously make reading time a priority but started ordering art books (unreal) to learn different mediums not addressed in art education (talk about limited) w/the realization/acknowledgment it would take more than one lifetime (art full time) to digest the knowledge/techniques (discouraging). oh, to be a recluse someday!

My son was murdered today
by truman ini have been on this site daily, almost from its beginning, since i left the jws in 2001, but i have been more of a reader than a poster, as you can see from my post count.
i know few here know me, although i know many of you through reading your posts.
maybe it is not right to ask for support, when i generally stay quietly in the background of this forum, but i want only to speak a human misery of the deepest kind.

Absolutely --- the first time I attended one of their school meetings (been a long time - TMS?) reminded me of one of the sales meetings I went to w/a friend in Mary Kay --- they had a mock group thing going on in the front w/their offers and techniques. Wondered if they learned their sales techniques from Stanley Home Products like Mary Kay Ash did.

ruth was a long time member of the menlo park congregation.
when the letter was read that indicated that john cobb, jason cobb, walter st. clair, and george stock had been removed from their post as elders, ruth fainted and needed to be taken to the hospital.

Devil_Fish --- I certainly didn't intend to post distressing comments re/hacking (really don't know much about it) and agree the last thing the family would want is revenge (not Christ like) but how devastating this must be to the congregation --- can't imagine. Striving to serve Jehovah compounded w/the turmoil the congregation is faced with is unreal. The halls for many are a hiding place from life's storms not to destroy.
I doubt anyone would want the WT hacked down knowing family members, ex-friends would be hurt.
Yes, she was too young.

Isn`t this so sad ?.......My neice
by smiddy ini will go back a few years during the mid 1980`s,we were living in s.e.qld and had an opportunity for our neice to stay with us for some time,a young teenager,attractive and an accomplished muscian,piano- violin.my wife and i were strong in the truth,well so we thought i was a ms and my wife was well in with the elders wives,and we went on many social activities with elders and ms servants,camping ,restuarants,etc.etc.you know the drill.our niece stayed with us at least 6 months before she went back home to victoria some 1000 miles away.previous to this ,we knew this girl since birth and we were instumental in her mother becoming a jw b4 that.so their has been a lot of history going on here.so during that 6 months she was involved with all our socializing and meeting attendance,witnessing and whatever.in short we had a lot of contact with this girl.my niece kept in contact with her mother often leaving the kids while she went off doing her own thing,shopping socializing or whatever.. fastforward to recent events: her mother stopped associating many years ago,my wife and i stopped many more years ago,but that was never a problem with our communication with her.. about 2 years ago her mother decided she`d had enough of her husbands flings and left him,he was never a jw.
my sil happened to move to a house about half a dozen houses from her daughter,she came once and said something like familys should stick together when things get tough,gave her a memorial invitation,but wouldn`t come inside the house,she was too busy,then left.
she hasn`t been back since and that was something like 2 years ago.she used to leave her 2 boys with my sil while she did her errands,her boys 13 & 11 ?
