Australian Bethel propose building a media complex
by Listener inthere's a post on exjw reddit stating that the ibsa are planning on building a media operation at the sydney bethel.. the estimated cost is $10 million aud and this in spite of the fact that they still have not joined the redress scheme or attempted in any monetary way of assisting abused victims within the organization.. the link below includes detailed plans.
they will be converting part of the current printery into a media complex.. they also propose to build a theme park in the form of a historical biblical site, including a man made mound and what one person suggests is a temple.. its not surprising that a bunch of old men in new york has dreamed all of this up - film sets in new york, england and now australia.

Maybe they're enticing the younger genre to stick around -- the GB Goon squad is going to put them in the movies - make a big star out of them (like Buck Owens' song). Yep, another con job to squeeze shekels out of the minions for property development. Not only are they land developers but producers of more than magic/promises.

After 60 Years She is Heading Out!
by The Bethelite inif you read my book "new boy" i talked about a girl i met in 1972 at a convention in allentown pa. i fell in love with her at first sight.
however a problem came up a couple of months later, when i met and fell in love with my future wife, debbie.
both women's mothers didn't like me at all (go figure) and it was literally a coin toss between the two women.

LongHair - keep that strong sense of situational awareness going -- you're gonna need it. It's brutal and society has reached an all new low -- if that's possible. Group up with trustworthy friends and stay close by to your bio family. Not too safe living alone w/aging - I've friends (older than I) who have made adjustments and they're pretty tough gals.
I agree re/JWs - they and the Governing goons have quite a con game going.

LongHair - Well said -- it's a very abusive religion full of parasites. One is expected to 'share' and that covers being bamboozled and you have to forgive automatically because 'it's your bro/sista' - that's the best part ever about religion! Human nature of leeches and it's quite prevalent in society. Same con game happens in all levels of society and especially targeted at senior citizens from the service/work individuals/cos hired to work in their homes and in care facilities -- all in the name of just 'helping'. Thieves and robbers at your back like in more than one song - can only think of the one called, "Angel" - Sarah McLachlan, singer-songwriter. So true.

by smiddy3 ini`m sure you have all noticed the ever increasing number of newbies and lurkers who have visited this site over the past months and i am sure we could all collectively welcome them to this site and support them on learning the ttatt .
and helping them to navigate how they can look up older publications and quotes of the wtb&ts that they would rather remain hidden.. we all know jehovah`s witnesses /governing body never apologizes for mistakes they make they just don`t mention them anymore and explain it away as new light from god.. actually a big cop out.. welcome to all you who are new to this site .. every day their seems to be someone new posting which is great .. and if this is any indication of what is happening in all other ex jw sites the wtb&ts are in deep trouble .

Ever notice a lot of JWs don't have pets?
by JimmyYoung ini was told by several elders to not get a dog when i was looking for one in the 80s.
the end was close and we needed to focus on the preaching work.
i know some have pets but a lot don't.

Yes -- I heard the same crazy and knew a couple without children and she felt they had no time for a dog or pet since they were committed to the cult -- she didn't work but auxiliary pioneered now/then. Wasn't there a cult WT article couple yrs. ago about dogs (pets?) and all the negatives of having one. Miserable, selfish, cult, wants all the JWs shekels, time, life.
