  although i never met him personally, he and i did correspond a number of times, and i have numerous friends who have not only met him, but stayed several days with he and cynthia at their home.

  if nothing else, ray was kind, non-judging, and generous.

  my family knows that i post on this forum (they have a packet of print outs of topics i have started) and they know about my videos on youtube.. they have made a demand that i cease all internet communication with the apostate community and then they will have me back.. i have refused.. they say i am a narcissist because i am ignoring the feelings of my family because they are very hurt by the things i am doing on the internet and speaking out against the religion.. interesting since they had to search out my posts and videos to gather evidence of apostasy.. -sab.

  I get a kick out of how ones like Debator don't even know their own org's dogma. The Society no longer limits the term "apostate" to someone leaving and trying to draw others along into their own little cult. They now say it is, or can be, simply a standing away from the "truth". It is one of the things that helped me out, their constantly changing and upgrading dogma to push an agenda.

  Are Sisters Allowed to Typeset The Watchtower?

  does anyone know if sisters are allowed to typset (or today's electronic equivalent) the watchtower magazine in order to compose articles for the printing presses?.

  i have heard of sisters typesetting the awake magazine, but i would like to know if they are permitted to perform the same work for the watchtower magazine.. this question comes from the letter sent to elders forbidding sisters from spiral binding the new elder's manual, while it is ok for a brother to do so.. .

  Sorry VM44. The sister was actually typesetting for the KM. This was at the branch in Toronto, Canada. But I am sure they are used for many tasks similar in nature. I think protocol probably goes something like this. Try your durndest to use brothers for any tasks that involve the "meaty" stuff. But since brothers will usually feel such tasks as typing to be under them and demeaning you will likely have to give in and use Sisters. Sisters by the way are simply women, who are the lower form of brothers, within the hierarchy. The hierarchy is at present thusly: Governing Body with capitals, jehovah, jesus, elders of various sorts, regular ordinary brothers (probably not even reaching out) and sisters. The situation I believe is similar in writing. The biggest part of writing an article in the watchtower is research. Research is time consuming and often times a tad heavy slogging I am sure. Much better suited to a sister than a brother, one of the ones at the elder level, you know.

  Anyone remember the stupidist of talks?

  i remember a talk being devoted to use of the correct grammatical pronunciation of words.

  in fact any elder or brother for that matter who didnt use the correct pronunciation was viewed as illiterate and dorky so the congregation snubbed them.... i remember the word machinations (of the devil) and the emphasis that it should be pronounced mack in nations.... another one was.

  behove was meant to be pronounced 'behoooved'.

  I remember a talk dealing with marital relationships? and part of the outline I guess required that the speaker had to discuss how taking the women from behind, and no it wasn't discussing anal, just from behind, was to impersonal. From the front, face to face, was more of a loving act. From the rear is reserved for animals according to that outline.

  i think if an (intelligent) questioning jw was able to read the letter about coil binding the book the impact could/should be greater.

  this letter should be an embarrassment to the gb.

  what blatant and stupid instructions sent to a large group of men who are supposed to be available to instruct in an intelligent way persons coming with an assortment of life's problems.
