Who is the "Queen of the Apostates"?
by booker-t inthere was a post in the past that listed ray franz as the "king of the apostates" to flip the script who would you nominate as the reigning "queen of the apostates"?
my nominee would go to joan cetnar.
but to be honest joan is such a nice person that i had the pleasure of meeting at a ex-jws convention.

When I was 10 to 15 years old. I read the bible, pioneered when I could, and preached wholeheartedly.
At 16, I began to have doubts and found things that didn't made sense to me, yet I got baptised anyway. I totally trusted my grandparents/parents with knowing the "truth," and figured I'd get it over time with enough prayer and study. I was wrong.
It took me to my 30s to understand it didn't make sense, because it just doesn't make sense.

I'm not too much of a poster, more of a lurker. But JW really p'd me off. After a fair number of PM's I've concluded that:
1. JW is a relatively new JW, with no realization that he/she is not following the ORG's rules in coming here. He/She seems to think that they are above the rules of the GB, and that He/She is going to "help" someone "return to the fold" by hs/her posts here.
2. JW makes his/her own rules. JW claims she/he isn't required to do door-to-door, because he/she has 7 kids. I've told JW I know this is not what I've experienced. As a single mom of 6, I was still required to put in a field service report. I think JW is a newbie to the JWs and if what he/she says is true: "family first," that he/she is not fully informed of what's ahead of JW, and that He/she's been given some time to come into the "correct thinking of JW's" as a newbie.
3. JW blamed me in PMs for making him/her reach their post limit for the day, because he/she p'd me off to the point of spewing out my anger with the ORG with him/her...then went on to say that that should make me "happy"...leading me to believe he/she is a combatitive person with no real Christian qualities.
4. JW thinks he/she is going to rescue the "lost sheep" by posting here. He/She seems to be a haughty JW, and not a true "christian" JW.
5. JW throws out scriptures to me, that I've heard many times before. He/ she thinks it's going to convince me to return to JWs. The only problem is, JW isn't following the scriptures that refer to his/her being here, posting. He/she seems to think he/she can override the recommendations/rules of the GB. JW is also very paranoid. When I quoted a true JW would avoid this place (1 cor 5:11-13) found it suspicious that I left vs 10 out.
I've told JW, that like me, posting here is going to "wake him/her up" rather than help one of us return to "the fold;" but JW thinks that he/she is too spiritually strong for that.

At 2 years old my parents asked me why we go to meetings...
My parents were expecting the "because we love Jehovah" answer, but my answer was...
"To get a spanking."
My parents thought it was funny.

In ref. to child abuse
by jw in.
ok all time to get real.
child abuse is not limited to jw's.. if you truly want to stop child abuse first start with the family , and be honest we all have a relative that is a pedophile.. then protect your family from stranger danger.. don't just isolate to jw's.. expand and truly stop the child abuse world wide.

Gods law over mans law and family first . You must make your own rules, because Jehovah's supposed to come first to a JW, everything/one else is secondary (I believe there's something about that in that Family Life book), and if god's law comes before man's law why are you not putting Jehovah first, and insisting on putting your family before Jehovah? God's law book also says not to associate with apostates...and here you are!
What is so hard to understand, they did. Well they didn't understand in my case, JW, I was still "encouraged" to go door-to-door. When I didn't (or should I say couldn't due to the exhaustion of keeping up with everything) they'd remind me that I was "inactive." I don't know how this could be different for you.

Oh, and as a single mom of six kids, I was still required to go out in field service and submit a field service report. I find it hard to believe that you're not.

What makes the Organization Guilty the organization did not molest your ex father in laws daughter he did
DUH! Because they let him remain an elder, hid the abuse from those who should have been aware, move from congregation to congregation and allowed him the opportunity to abuse other kids! The other kids who were abused were not protected either, because of the 2 witness rule!
You're very insensitive, JW, because I am not lying about any of it!

This topic is really upsetting to me. JW just doesn't seem to understand the depth of the cover-up of child abuse in the JWs.
Not only did I experience sexual abuse by two "brothers" (one an elder) and left to feel like I was not believed, exposed and crazy when I told the elders about it and both denied what had happened and nothing was ever done about it, not even a bit of help or undersanding for what I'd been through, but...
My elder ex-father-in-law had a baby with his daughter, who was a pioneer.
He was never charged. And, he was still an elder when I married into the family, when the child was 15 years old.
This pedophile now lives in Creston, BC.
Do you think his congregation there is aware of his past? My ex-husband wasn't even aware of the fact that what he thought was his neice was also his sister until he was 19.
This organization is GUILTY!

Woman with a flat tire. Would you have stopped to help when you were a JW?
by ObservingTexan inin the light of the second greatest commandment, "love your neighbor as yourself", when you were an active jw would you have stopped to help in the following scenario?
you are in your car and drive by a woman who is having car trouble... a flat tire.
she's struggling to get the tire changed.

only it might have somehow got me into trouble.
It seems like every time I tried to help someone it became a case for something other than what it really was.
Honestly, It feels like I could not help someone without being accused of some sort of immorality being my motive!
I'm so glad to have got out of that insanity!

1) a friend's father a JW in good standing who sexually abused me as a young teen.
2) an elder who sexually abused me as a young teen.
3) my ex-father-in-law who had a baby with my ex-sister-in-law all while a jw...and still became an elder again!!!!
4) my brother-in-law/nephew-in-law (person married to the product of the incest) who raped someone and got away with it.
