We had all sorts of people who thought they were annointed in our area. I should mention, all had mental illness and on SSDI and could not hold a job. But you know they were counted in the yearly count and thought they were holy.

New Light "Orwellian" projectors.

Conventions

i am reminded of a couple of things about conventions i do not normally think about.. one, the people who would protest the conventions.
some with bags on their head, others just holding signs.

One, the people who would protest the conventions. Some with bags on their head, others just holding signs. Might be some people out there who still do that. To the past people, and the present, I say the same thing. You look like idiots! Go home.
Two, remember how you always set there and wondered what the new publication would be and what new light would come out? Was it just me or did it basically come down to this. When will you tell us the time of the end? How much longer? And what Bible Codes did you unlock to show these facts? I was always disappointed when the new light would be things like, "People who die will never be able to marry again or be back in a marriage with their husband or wife" or something like "1914 is no longer the date we said, thought or any other backpeddling that date needs."
But more then anything I would like to be a fly on the wall to see how they are explaining 2014 and this being 100 years since 1914. I know my relatives are having a hard time swallowing that pill and wanting answers and burned out. I also know they will be willing to accept any answer that is given.
Anyway, glad my summer does not involve crowded conventions, bad hotel rooms and terrible cheap food. But for some it is, and again the protesters are idioits.

he mentioned the out-of-body experience of the apostle paul, in 2 corinthians 12:2-4, where he experienced being "caught up to the third heaven ... caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible words...".

by lambsbottom ini don't understand why so many ex jws and faders think that the jws will continue to grow and thrive as a religion.
i still attend a meeting once a week and you can smell the death of the religion creeping up when you hear the talks, read the study wts and hear the letters from the gb.
the way the organization has changed is a sign that it reached its peak (in "healthy" membership) long ago.

Religion as a whole is dying, especially as science is becoming better and answers less mystical. But I have said this for years and I will say it to death, for a certian core group and personality type, the religion will always be there home no matter what.

New video release at district convention. Do Jws live like this?

can't remember what it is called but the main family live in a million dollar home and there teenage daughter drives a red convertable sports car.
probably worth about 50000$.

Yes, yes they do. My parents were rich. We had three homes, I got any car of my choice at 16. I had a personal trainer, a private pool to myself and actually spent my vacations anywhere I wanted from our private jet. Didn't everyone? I thought it was the normal... now I am confused.

I'm afraid I'd be single for life
by ohnightdivine inthis is quite embarrassing for me to share, but as a 30+ year old single female i have lingering doubts as to whether i can still meet a decent man and get married.. you all know how difficult it is for sisters to find an appropriate partner in the congregation.. and now, all the more so that i've learned ttatt.
i still am bound by low self-esteem, and i do have trust issues, especially with men.
i am very lonely and so i just keep myself busy with work to avoid depression (although it is also a great source of stress).. any other single females out there having similar thoughts?.

The supernatural was labeled by man to explain what had not yet been explained in science. However, I do feel that all this has a pattern and an order that just has to step back and be seen beyond what our life will allow us. But I feel in that space between it all, there is an energy and a conneciton that is by definition a power to life and all things. Is that god and spirit? Not in my opinion. I think spirit is the only truth, and that enegry of life is a common thread. Anyway, no angels and demons for me. Those are man's historical myths. But life, energy and a cosmic intelligence that was here before you, and will live after me. Makes me feel good to know, I will live on in some way that I must die to understand and I am not in a hurrry... but I am not scared. Spirit is what we all are, and perhaps the dreams, the hopes and the fears will move throughout that pattern we do not see and take us where we want to go.

Everything that exist in you, has existed from the moment of the begining of the universe. When you are gone, it will still be there. This connection, the begining of all things and how they are all connected in the smallest and most extreme small part of life, universe and energy. This is the spirit, and connects us all. It is as much life, as it is death, but more easily explained as the energy that expands and burns in us all.
