  long before the likes of watchtower apologetics, timothy white and greg stafford, and before the likes of e-watchman and twmc there was frank earl scott, a dentist who believed in his heart that jehovah's witnesses were the true israel of god, and attempted to prove it.

  he wrote a few books, most on prophecy, he predicted armageddon for 1970 and when it didn't happen he was disfellowshipped, talk about double standards.

  I have read all 5 books nine times each.... You must read the books ! Rowling is a wonderful writer, and there is soooo much in the books that never comes up in the movies... I am re-re-re...reading The Prisoner of Azkaban, right now....

  some of you know that we live way out in the country, deep in the woods of northern mn.

  one of the great things out here is the abundant wildlife that we see everyday.

  last week we had a huge porcupine in the yard (which our four year old calls a hamster.....lol).

  beautiful pictures Scooter. The only bird that we don't have here in VT is the orange Oriole, although I've spotted it years ago, about the time lilacs start to bloom. I love birds

  Canadian Frence vs French French

  is anyone familiar with both of these?

  is there much difference between the french spoken in france and that in canada?.

  i'm currently learning french off a cd on my way to and from work (actually, a lot is coming back from where i did it at school) but i wondered how similar or different they are?

  Usually French speakers from France and Quebec have no problem understanding each other, especially if they have some knowledge of English.

  Right !!! I meet Canadian-French from time to time, and if we start a conversation, I sometimes have a real hard time understanding anything they say - - the accent is atrocious. And yes, strange usage of words too, old french I suppose, French-French has evolved, Canadian-French is still 1600 French....

  Someone in Pennsylvania won... The posters on this thread gave 4 of the 6 winning numbers. You get, I believe, $7 with 4 numbers.... 3-9-17-37 --- 43 and 39 were missing... You didn't play my 37 You didn't play 3 - 9 either....
