No, I don't like flying.... Particularly overnight transatlantic flights.... Long, uncomfortable, can't sleep, dead tired when I land in Europe --- over there it's morning, the day is starting, for me it's 2 am and I have been up 24 hours and haven't slept yet.... and I am not yet at my final destination, change plane, or take a bus, then another hour or more car drive.... Awful, too old for all this !

Who is Ray Franz???

is here at work and i can't really search for info too much--can someone help explain who he is and what he has done?

He was disfellowshiped for eating with a df. friend of his in a restaurant.... The remaining GB members didn't have any reason to df him, but they had to find one.... Ray knew too much, they had to make sure that all JWs around the world wouldn't listen to what he had to say...

by dontnowat2believe ini was driving in my brothers car with him about 5 years ago (hes now an elder), we were in the middle of a row when he turned to me and told me that when i die at armageddon that i dont need to worry because he said he will look after my kids, this upset me to the point that i made him stop the car and i got out.
a friend of mine (who is a jw) i spoke to about it told me that he was just trying to be cruel and then went on to tell me that any children who are a part of a witness family would die at armageddon.
i would like to know if anyone knows if this true ?

Yes at some point your children will die.......... 80 or 90 years from now....... As everybody else dies....... That's life ! Nothing we can do about it ......
I was told by a JW lady who was visiting almost weekly (it was before the Millenium, somehow she seemed to believe that the end would come before 2000) and trying hard to convince me to convert to her screwed up sect, that my then 3 year old little boy would soon die, because I refused to accept ""The Troof"" ..... That's when I started to do some serious research about the JW sect.... and so should you

2005 Barbecue Is Definitely On!
by Englishman insaturday seems to be much preferred over sunday, so this years bbq will be held on saturday, july 9th, commencing around 2 pm.
location is our home in weston super mare.
as usual, the day will be very boozy and proceedings will conclude in the waverley pub.
