No Clapping at Wild Statements at DC????!!!!
by hamsterbait ini just read a post that said the audience was not obediently clapping at the convention when the speakers made wild statements (presumably with the rising nazi voice).
did anyone else notice this.. will others look out for it at their dc and tell us?.
i'm not going.. bwaaaaahhhhhhh.

I can remember, that was one of the things that got me out of the Org. The wild clapping at Bizzare statements (AND SATAN... THE RULER OF THIS WORLD, WILL SOON BE DESTROYED BY JEHOVAH !!!!!!!) reminded me of the films I saw of Hitler's speeches and the wild clapping that followed.

Frog's first semester Uni results are in!
by Frog ini realise this is probably quite a dull subject for all my friends here, but this frog can't help but to share her happy moment, cause she's just bursting at the seams with self-congratulatory praise!.
i just logged on to the uni website to get my long awaited semester one results.
i knew i had done well with my essays, pop quizzes etc throughout the semester, but i attributed that to the fact that i had weeks to fine tune my writing and research.

Frog, Congratulations !!!
My ex-jw friend just finished law school and passed the bar. I went to her graduation and the thing that brought me to tears was this family of 4, mom, 2 college age daughters and Dad who just graduated. When he went up to receive his diploma, they were screaming how proud they were of him. The sacrifice, love and support that was shown to him by his family made me cry. That will be you one day ! Never give up, the sacrifice and hard work will be well worth it. Once again Congratulations!!!!

i know some can be pretty dogmatic in these areas, lets not try to be, lets look at this thing from many angles.

Scully that was Awesome! I believe it is a bait & switch tactic. preying on everyones hopes for a better life, wheather it is now or in the future (paradise). They confuse the hell out of the rank & file with their ever so changing doctrines and history. These poor people don't have any point of refence because it changes all the time. The Org. likes it that way because they can be manipulated and controlled like babies and during this dependency, they are sucked dry financially, mentally and emotionally. When and if the average jw leaves, the tangible thing that is left behind is Money! I agree with Garybuss on this.

MY ADVENTURE AT THE ASSEMBLY......
by Mary into start my day with: as i was walking down the street towards hell the assembly, i went to cross halfway across the road when a cheese and cracker brother told me that i should "cross at the light so that others can see that jehovah's people are law abiding citizens.
stick my lapel badge up his ass sideways make a good impression so i waited until he was distracted by other jaywalkers and then dashed across the road complied with his suggestion.
once in the building i managed to find a seat next to a guy who looked remarkably like fat bastard was a bit on the plump side.
