Yea, that's right.... Bethel was in lockdown during 9/11. Wouldn't want the wordly people taking advantage of the Societies precious but needed resources at that time. Hey brother, can you spare a glass of water and maybe a wet cloth to wipe the dust off my face? Oh..gee, that couldn't be true, they didn't write it in the Watchtower!!!

Do you see the average Jehovahs Witness as a victim...?
by trevor ini think most of us appreciate the difference between the tyrannical watchtower society and the average sheep like followers who make up the congregations.
we have been jehovahs witnesses so we know how brainwashed they are.
i am interested in knowing how you feel towards jehovahs witnesses individually and whether you hold them accountable.

I see them as victims. Many are recruited or born into the Cult. I don't think many have actively seeked out the religion or ran to the nearest kingdom hall wanting to be dubs. However I do expect them to be responsible for their actions. I think a lot of times if you forgive someone for their actions, it just gives them an excuse for not being held accountable for them. Victims....Yes, Acountability, ABSOLUTLEY....YES

"This just can't last much longer...."
by BrendaCloutier ini went over and visited my parents today.
my mom broke her hip while we were in hawaii, and i've been mostly house/bed ridden myself since we got home.
so i finally got over there today.. we talked a little about the hurricane, which was on the news she turned off.

Brenda, I'm sorry to hear about your dad and I also feel bad about your mom. When I was 15yrs old back in 1974, we use to study with an elder in our congregation. His mom was very sick and was to die soon, he often stated that they were trying to keep her alive at least till Armageddon came. Unfortunately, she died and I think that he also passed away. The poor rank & file are all continuing to be strung along by this damn Cult. Sometimes you wonder with their age being a factor, if you should just let them continue to believe what they want or try to get them to see the reality. Anyway, best of luck and congrats on Hawaii.

Thanks for all your thoughts and support. I think for the time being I'm going to see how this current situation plays out. I've had ongoing turmoil and disapointments with my family long before my dis-association.
Thanks.

I appreciate the good friends I have made online
by Cygnus ini've given away much about my personal life and troubles here and have received much support publicly and also by means of emails and pms.
i just wanted to take a minute and say thank you to all who send positive messages my way.
life is very troubling right now, not as bad as bryan's, but with little use of my hands, no job, the possible impending loss of my house, living alone and barely being able to throw out the garbage let alone do much in the way of cleaning or preparing meals (oh, poor poor cygnus, let's all have a pity-party for him), and having to fire my shrink because he laughed at me and dismissed my problems with a "that'll be $155.00 for nothing," i'm thinking at 6:30pm est of laying low for a while and counting on friends and family.

Cygnus, I am not familiar with your situation but I hope everything will go ok for you. There are many good people on this board and it's good to have a place to go where you feel comfortable to express yourself.
Good Luck & Best Wishes

WOW, I am honored! What could have happenned that led to the receiving of this privilaged information? Well, my mom is slowly dying. She has Alzeimers and I think my sister doesn't want to prevent any of the siblings from seeing her in her final years. She wouldn't want It to bother her conscience. They view me as one of Satan's Agents and I just don't understand why my sister would want me there. A lover of righteousness and one of Satan's Agents in the same room together? She has a lot of explaining to do!!!
Just venting. Thanks Apostanator

Krystal,
I am so sorry to hear that happened to you. I can truly say I understand, as I'm going through ( and have gone through ) the same shenanigans as you are. I can't help but think, What was the purpose of sending that letter to you? It is just disturbing to see family members treat you that way !!!! I hope you'll be able to find some kind of resolution.
Best Wishes
