I think underneath all the social conditioning we're all animals and we have animalike instincts to pro-create and spread our seed. At some point in time, if you spend a great deal of "quality" time with a person you're going to want to 'jump their bones' to pacify your inner animal, and make the time investment worthwhile.

Best day for assembly?

my wife and i want to go on the day when they say the stuff that really pushes obedience and stuff so we can really see what they are all about.

Well it all depends on level of emotional involvement (on both sides), spiritual connection (and I don’t mean religious type of connection but tacit sort of a connection on another level, i.e. you simply connect or click if you like) and level of adventurous curiosity (which is something most people don’t have when it comes to real one on one contact, most would rather hide than explore their inner depths with someone else). So, all three of these have to be present before two would go beyond of being only friends.
On the other hand sexual relationship alone doesn’t have to mean there are feeling involved either. Some people can just be bonk-buddies and friend at the same time. It is not everybody’s cup of tea but we are all different and see things from different angles.
So can men and women just be friends? Depends who you ask.

How many true scholars/scientists are there really among JWs?
by zagor inthis is a question i've been puzzled by ever since my days in the borg.
everywhere i looked i saw tradesmen, cleaner, auto-mechanics here and there some computer technician.
and i do know there are two doctors, one gp and one specialist in the field of drug rehabilitation.. i've heard stories of some being true scholars though.
