  How many of you are childfree by choice?

  by that, i mean you do not want to have children.. i have been told since birth it would not be safe for me to have children, so i never even considered it.

  i never went through a grieving period because the concept of having babies was not something i once had and lost.

  i always envisioned myself as a happy career woman.. i recently married and am still sure i don't want children.

  I don't know if I'd want a kid, especially at my age right now. I get embarrassed easily and kids make you have to do stuff that doesn't look cool like having to stop talking to someone at the supermarket in order to yell at them. Let's say I'm a single father or a guy that just got divorced and I'm trying to talk to some hot woman....."Yeah, I come here sometimes, you know the prices, they're pretty good....So I heard that...wait a second...Billy, didn't I tell you to stop doing that?! Huh? I'm not gonna tell you anymore!....Okay, so back to what I was saying....hold on again one sec....Billy, I told you, do not stand up on that.....I'm sorry, what was I saying to you?"

  See, I couldn't deal with that.

  Don't have to work Baptism pool because of getting turned on by the women?

  they want me to work the baptism pool, but i don't want to.

  you imagine i could just say that i'd be tempted by all the half dressed young women walking around dripping wet with their feet showing and it wouldn't be good for me as a brother since i have an active imagination and a foot fetish?

  nahhh....i wouldn't tell them that, but they do want me to work it though.

  Batman Begins

  Oh, and if you liked the movie, pick up the video game...It expounds upon some of the things in the movie, and lets you sneak up on criminals to strike fear in them.

  I agree guys. I've been waiting over like a year and a half to see this movie ever since I found out Christopher Nolan, who did "Memento", was directing it. Even went to see them film some of the scenes last Summer. I recommend everyone check it out.

  What was your breaking point?

  okay, i'm new as you all probably know, so my question may have been discussed several times in the past.

  i'm just curious as to when some of you came to the conclusion that enough was enough and that you didn't want to attend the meetings anymore or not be a jw.

  was it in field service, at home, at the hall?

  I know what you mean, misspeaches. I think about the movie "The Incredibles" a lot when I think about my situation in the organization. I have talent that could be used to do great things, but I used to feel like I had to hide those talents because of them teaching people that you're not supposed to be successful at anything outside of the organization. If someone asks what goals you have for the future, you're supposed to say "I want to be a ministerial servant and then an elder" or, "I want to go to Bethel." If you say "I want to have my own production company one day and create movies that make people laugh or that touch people in some sort of way.", they think you're being selfish and self-centered. Doing this to people makes them conform to the point where they lose their own individuality and they become like the Borg, like someone stated earlier.

  me and the wife are heading down to disneyland in the winter.

  i've never been a huge disney fan, but she's a huge fan.

  i've just recently accidently stumbled onto some information that i've never previously been exposed to, and i'm finding it strikingly similar to the jw religion.

  All I know is that I'm tired of them coming out with sequels now for every single movie they own, especially when Walt Disney didn't even like sequels. How can you have a sequel to Snow White and Cinderella when the characters are supposed to live happily ever after at the end of the first movie?

  Going to a District Convention Undercover, suggestions?

  i'm still undesided but leaning towards going to a few dcs under the cover of a worldly person(i'm really a df'd evil apostate .

  i'm a worldy person that is in love with a jw sister who i work with, we have dated and even have been intimate(that outa perk up the ears of any hatchet man elder), and now she refuses to see me any more unless i become a jw, she encouraged me to go to this convention, but is afraid to be seen with me because she doesn't want people in her congregation to know she has a boy friend.

  i think that kind of story would grab the interest of many sisters or brother and allow me to ask some hard questions about the organization and even allow me to bring up some things i found on the internet about dates and such and not be viewed as an apostate.

  You'd probably need a working knowledge of a photo-manipulating program like Adobe Photoshop to duplicate a copy of a Press Pass....but this would be illegal and could result in prison time. Oh and for legal reasons, I'm permitted to state that a person such as myself would never and has never done such a thing.

  Just don't say you know a brother that works the sound box and is suffering from sound box burnout and how you seen him talking about what it would be like to not be a witness anymore and how his nic is soundbox_guy, on www.jehovahs-witness.com, which is also a negative reference that makes fun of what he's thought of at his congregation, just a lowly sound box guy and nothing more....Just don't do that and you'll be fine.
