I have had granite placed in two homes of mine and I must say they are awesome, although they can be expensive. The only drawback is the very hard surface. Getting accustomed to it, I must have broken a few dishes in the kitchen. I have had granite in the bathroom and had no issues at all. Other than the very hard surface, I highly recommend it. Do a search and see if there are any granite outlets and you can possibly get a good deal.

The irrationality of the group can be summed up in this number...

Funny, not sure. I have several bookshelves in two rooms of my home. When my father spent the night, I wondered if he would say anything because I have an extensive collection on Buddhism, extensive collection of world religions, on human sexuality, extensive collection of world literature, extensive collection on psychology. Funny though, I noticed that two of my Zen books were moved a bit when he slept in the room.
I was trying to add the picture, but alas I can't for some odd reason...

Did Being A Witness Make You Feel Better About Yourself?
by minimus insome persons need to feel they are validated because they don't have much going for them otherwise.
being a part of jehovah's organization makes them feel special.
being different from other religions makes them feel recognized,.

Absolutely not. I lived in a constant state of fear and guilt. I didn't even really know myself when I was a JW, because too much of my perception was controlled by outside influences...

I have done it, but I enjoy sitting by the water more than being in it like that. I was in the Bahamas, off of Nassau. Wonderful experience.

by Dorktacular inyay!

I applaud anyone that takes the legal and proper steps to become a citizen. I was at one of my best friend's citizenship ceremony. It was beautiful. She was born in England of Pakistani parents and has lived all over the world, but her dream was to be a US citizen. She realized her dream, worked hard and realized her dream.

YOUR DAILY JOURNAL
by compound complex indear friends,.
much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.
however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

We walked off the road intot eh woods for about 200 yards or so and noticed a bunch of naked people making a ring around a bonfire. Then we noticed some of the people turn into balls of flame and take off toward the sky.
This is not the first time I have heard this account. Not the same place or anything, but people coming across this ritual. How does anyone explain people turning into balls of fire??
I took a class called Psychology of Consciousness for graduate school, as well as studying Carl Jung. For some paranormal events, there are logical explanations, having to do with different states of conscious, etc. But I don't discount all paranormal experiences because I have seen things that can't be explained. Your account would be one that I have heard from way too many people to not believe that it did happen.
