What is his "hypothesis" regarding the motivation of someone changing the DATE on a clay tablet that is thousands of years old? A big conspiracy going back to (???) just to prove the WT wrong? Huh? I am sorry not to get deep into this but just on the surface, it looks like a ridiculous accusation in the first place.

Just keep finding better things to do on meeting times and FS times. Like fun, family things. She is obviously just feeling guilty, but has no actual desire to be in the KH.

i was very angry at myself for accepting the really bad parts of the religion that i strongly disagreed with.

Don't mix up a belief in a creator with religion, esp. the JWs. I definitely had some crises of faith after my experience in JWs and other churches too. Don't think it is all part and parcel of the same thing.

suggestions for elder a nd co visit
by Shaul ingetting a visit tommorow our kids that are in are concerned as to why we are missing meetings.
our family is basically ignored by the congregation long story we just don't want to go anymore.
i have told the kids how rotten i have been treated and also i have had some seriou health issues but you know you should still be at the meetings.

My best to you-be well, take care of yourself and let your JW and non JW kids do their duty to you! Ask them for help when you need it since some of them are so worried about you!

My sister died
by poppers injust got word that my sister died.
she had surgery for heart valve replacement about 5 weeks ago, and when they opened her up for it they found cancer.
we had an extra special relationship since i was her "birthday present" when she turned 10 in 1951. this is my second sibling to die of cancer in 14 months..

Can WTBTS legally do this for international conventions.

if an individual selected to attend a special convention loses his exemplary status and is no longer qualified to attend, the delegate should be thoroughly informed of the reason for your decision.
such a person would be fully responsible for any financial loss associated with his abrupt disqualification as a delegate, even up to the time he was supposed to depart.. .

If we were so exemplary, I guess we wouldn't be cancelled from going! Basically, they just want to warn you that they are not going to give you back any of your travel expenses if you are canceled. I think any "tour group" would have to let you go or refund you, but they have no control over the elders-it is probably a brother who would be out if you cancel, too. They have to take you and if they refuse, they need to refund. And heck, I'd call a lawyer if they didn't do one or the other.

Talk to an employment attorney tomorrow about your rights and options regarding your job. This is definitely a time for legal consultation.
Congratulations! As to Christmas, tell your wife that you are consulting with a lawyer about how to protect yourself and quietly get your holiday together in the meantime.
I would suggest you lawyer up in every direction cause they will likely try to hurt you so that you don't hurt them(boss). Get a legal plan in place for preventive assistance and speak to a lawyer.

A tour? If you were buying your own hotel and transportation, why would they need to pay you back? If it is a tour group, what does the agreement say as to how they can exclude you or not? It is simple, but the WT can not likely be held in any way responsible for your costs for a convention that you can not or do not attend. UNLESS there is an admission fee and they refuse you admittance or to refund it. Last I knew, they didn't charge admission (well, there was the Tacoma Convention parking scandal). Hotels and transportation: if a tour, I think they have to let you on the tour if you paid for it-they just don't have to let you into the event if your privileges have been recinded. If the tour coordinator is JW, it would BEHOOVE them to refund you, unless they wanted an unworthy JW in their midst for all weekend or whatever.
