  Hubby's tempted to go back

  today he kept bumping in to (or rather dodging and weaving from) fellow witnesses.

  he's talking about returning but can't figure out a way to do it without enduring a fair amount of humiliation.

  i did not panic.

  Excuse to not go back "All the raunchy carrying on that is going on in KH's these days prove to me that Jehovah's spirit is not with the organization anymore!

  Excuse why he was gone and is now returning "I was stumbled by the fact that there was never anything enjoyable or fun going on in the congregation, just drudgery and talk about armageddon-but now from what I see online, you all dance and carry on in the halls. I am encouraged that theremight now be fun and laughter allowed in KH's! "

  Did the organization admit declining growth and stagnation in today's watchtower?

  "over seven and a half million witnesses of jehovah really have found him and they truly love him.".

  why are they no longer touting "nearly 8 million" witnesses?

  I can't believe that there are 8 million people. It is growing and I really don't know what the appeal is now that I am out-it totally lacks appeal-I can't justify any reason to go into it if you start on the outside.

  Kids-they are stuck, but grownups? Please.

  my wife, who now thinks i am not competent enough to discuss spiritual matters with the kids, thinks that i could really benefit from discussing matters of the bible with this nasa engineer who attends meetings at her kingdom hall.

  apparently, he is quite knowledgeable in the bible and has a good grasp of their doctrines.

  at least according to her as i never actually spoken with the man at length but i do know that he is an elder.

  I know a couple of NASA (and other) engineers. They can be interesting folks. It might be fun just to meet one (a local friend of mine loves telling her friends about her son, "the Rocket Scientist". We actually have those here in Houston:)

  We need a Houston Aposta/opposer meeting! I am right next to NASA off Scarsdale. . .

  Officially parting ways : (

  some of you might remember my first post on here about my dilemma of whether or not to remain in a relationship with my jw girlfriend after learning ttatt http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/experiences/278710/1/im-new-and-need-help#.u-kltpldvyq.

  while we were taking a break, well it turned out to be not very much of a break because of our still strong feeling for each other (we eventually went from talking every few weeks to once a week and then to everyday again) and things started to get complicated.

  well last night we officially decided that it would be best for the both of us to at least part ways for now and end things.

  It was the right decision for now. We don't know what the future will bring, but right now, it's wide open. I hope you are blessed and come to healthy and happy decisions for you (and I hope that she does too-she sounds like she is a nice young woman with some brights-you never know!)

  ONe of the JWs mentioned "church" which makes me think they are still in.

  I am not terribly informed of this and wasn't paying enough attention to the show (or maybe terribly is how informed I am,).. .but how did he have time to put all his 'affairs' in order? Was a report to police made?

  Was the man that he stayed with in Arizona a JW?

  Is he DFd? What happened to his family? Did he hurt them?

  i think you'll find this interesting and also disconcerting as well.. to all bodies of elders.

  I bet the palestinians would prefer the 3 billion a year or so that the Israelis are getting to kill and imprison them. I bet that Israel does not give a rats hiney for your support-they want the money and they want all the families that have occupied the region for centuries to sit back and take it. Israel doesn't want posts in support, they want our money and they have it, so, no worries.

  in the new book released at the witnesses assemblies this year , " keep yourselves in god's love " notice this bit of counsel given on possible separations in marriage .

  it says on pg.

  221 , " absolute endangerment of spiritual life.
