I wouldnt say they are cute and cuddly, but they definitely control the proliferation of far more disgusting pests like earwigs, cockroaches and millipedes. They are great to have in the garden, and you have to admit, their webs are spectacular!

we live in southern california and there has not been a visit at door in well over a year.
my business is on the main drag and their has not been a visit there either.
My impression is they are spending about 10 min door banging, then 90 minutes at the donut shop, counting it all as 'time' on their reports. I do find the odd WT at the laundromat (which is promptly thrown in the trash) or their cute little flyers on the subway....ughhhhhhhhh

Same here, events beginning at about 3 years of age. THere is strange phenomenon known as infantile amnesia, and in humans, most events taking place in the first 3 years of life are permanently erased from the brain. Neuroscientists dont understand it, but it likely has to do with the proliferating neuronal connections during this early stage of neural development.

ill come back to what it means for design in nature to have empirical content, but i want for the moment to stay with the worry that intelligent design is but a disguised form of creationism.
