  Why we should be glad WT apologists post here

  no i haven't lost all my marbles -- yet.

  they serve as reminders of what we have left behind and never want to go back to.people who have some doubts or questions about the wts and come to this board can see for thewmselves how jws don't have answers for everything.

  in fact they have a very hard time defending their faithi have yet to see any person post here who has seen the real truth about the wts; teachings turn around and say, "yes i'm going back even if i know they are wrong.

  98% of them appear as trolls and end up making complete arses out of themselves. Thats a good thing. In this case they serve as shining examples of the hypocrisy and intellectual bankruptcy inherent in the organization. They also remind of us as to why we left this wacko cult in the first place.

  Having said that, I would say that the vast majority I have encountered on this site have been deliberately malicious and callously dismissive of the pain and suffering that so many people on this board have suffered at the hands of the borg. This serves no good purpose. Rubbing salt in fresh wounds is the worst possible thing that can happen to a person coming to this board genuinely looking for support. I have no tolerance for this breed of troll, and in reality, they form the majority of the trolls on this board. PMJ comes to mind.

  While I more or less agree with Terrys comments I think they are far too generous. Based upon what I have observed, the apologists are NOT here due to unconscious doubts. They are here to either 1) make field service hours. 2) deliberately disrupt conversations and threads, or 3) engage in malicious attacks against watchtower victims.

  Am I glad they are here? No. I dont need an "in vivo" reminder of the stupidity of the organization, those memories are indelibly etched in the darkest recesses of my memory.

  Congratulations. You have mastered the art of lying to yourself, and have no moral compunction about lying to the public whilst spreading watchtower feces amongst your neighbours.

  I have far greater respect for devoted JWs that at the very least believe this shite, then for an individual such as yourself who chooses to be a wet noodle, lacking the courage to own up to your real beliefs and doubts. An artificial life hiding in a shell of self-delusion is the lowest form of existence, IMHO.

  Five years posting!

  it doesn't seem two minutes since i first joined this site.

  on the other hand it feels like i've been here forever, accumulating about 15,000 posts in the process.. it was a wednesday (12 september 2001) on a small island off the west coast of scotland .

  in recent months i had experienced a spiritual awakening of such proportions that it caused me to question one after another of the beliefs that i'd been raised with as a jw.

  when i got off for lunch today i decided to go to the walmart deli and get something to eat.

  it is a huge store, groceries, a bakery, mc donalds, a bank , eye center, beauty shop, a great deli, and a huge garden center.

  i had taken back a 80 gig hard drive dvd recorder ( i couldn't figure out how to hook up <smile> and had received 238.00. i picked up a couple of things in the store then went to the deli.

  For the record greendawn, 67% (i.e. the vast majority) of the human beings on this planet do not accept Jesus as messiah or saviour of any kind. If you honestly believe that your god will annihilate (or send to hell) the majority of humanity who dont happen to share your minority opinion about "salvation", I dont see your belief construct as any morally or ethically superior to that of the typical JW.

  i am so sick of this woman, and her fame for simply being born into a rich family.

  i am just waiting for the day that we get to see her name in the obituary and not on the front of some magazine to say what a great thing she has done, when she found a lost dog.

  i actually like the movie, "house of wax", as it does allow you to see some damage done to this woman.
