  Are You A People Person Or Do You Need Your Space?

  some people need to be surrounded with"friends" to make themselves feel good.others love their independence and prefer to be away from others.

  Depends. If people around me are self centered, yakky and nosy.....I'm a loner or I prefer to be. I have found wayyy too many people like this, unfortunately. People, even family, who never ask a question, don't inquire about me personally, my life or my thoughts.....just interested in monopolizing everything...I avoid. They just get on my nerves. Too, the JW thing has left me with some war wounds. I find it hard to trust and I probably question motives too much. And it's funny because when I was in high school and before I was a dub, I was voted "most popular" in my class

  I stay close to those who truly love me but try to remain open for any opportunities to connect with others on a day to day basis. When it happens, and it does semi often, it's great.

  i have to give a presentation today in my spanish lit class in spanish.

  reminds me of giving talks in the ms only the subject matter is a lot more interesting.

  bad songs

  i was reading a post that reminded me of the songs that were popular but was wrong to listen to for various reasons.. we all remember puff the magic dragon being about drugs, which i hear was just a rumour.. another i remember was let it be by the beatles, which was " catholic based about mary the mother of jesus" when apparently it was written about paul mccartney's own mother.

  shows what they know.. which songs do you remember that were "bad" that we were not supposed to listen to?

  ..after you were baptised, and how did you feel?.

  i went for a swim, having got baptised at orchard beach, new york.

  i was disappointed that i didn't feel any sort of warm glow.. when my dad was baptised, it was at epsom circuit assembly, london.

  Why Was YOUR Meeting Cancelled?

  do you have any odd or unusual reasons why the elder's decided to cancel one of your meetings?.

  i don't know if this is necessarily unusual but our hall lost power one cold day.

  I remember going to the meeting during a bad lightening storm because I had to give a talk. Very few showed up, the weather was quite severe. The brother opening the meeting said, "I'm glad to see we are not ALL fair weather christians" being we showed up.....unlike the other unappreciative pansy JW's. We all felt pretty smug

  i was thinking about forgiving this morning, after reading yesterday about a woman who had been fed up 70 x 7 times with jws knocking - and i thought, didn't jesus say "if your brother says to you 'i repent', you must forgive him" ?.

  but then i thought, i'm sure i've read about 'backroom' judgements on this board where people were denied forgiveness.

  what's the basis for that ?
