here i am - born in truth, hard-core spiritual everything all my life, early reg.pioneer, ms, elder, assembly parts, tour at bethel, etc, married now...... i'm trying to examine jw teachings a little closer...... i've spent the last two weeks reading many many posts, info , references on where ex-jw's are coming from.
i'm kind of concerned about a few things lately..... honestly - some points make sense to me - some don't - here are my general thoughts:.
-wt getting un membership for access to library - doesnt bother me - some passports and other governement documents have similar forms and requirements..... -blood issue - some counterpoints to the jw 'rules' makes sense (original intent of scripture is unbled animals, white blood cells similar in mothers milk) etc -however a lot of 'apostate' reasonings and proof are inaccurate.
What is the typical response from witnesses or how do they address
the issue of A religion that is known to be one of the leading religious
organization with the most fail prophecies, A religion known for
breaking up families and over A 100+ yrs. of preaching, people still
veiw them as A cult.`
good evening, all.... still relatively new here so if i'm posting about a topic that's already been run into the ground, i apologize.
but i just wanted to acknowledge the typical "demo" we all see at meetings, assemblies and conventions.
even back when i was a good-goody teen dub, my brother, friends and i would jokingly refer to demos as "5-minute illustrations on how to say 'no.'".
I would love to see this demonstrations.

The insanity, people who has never been A jw and read stories of
this type of cruelty among it,s members would be speechless.

about it, you will let your child die (blood), but at the same time committing fornication
or any other act that would result in DF, no problem, I,ll just repent and come back.
just never ceases to amaze me how things in the organization stay the same .
you would think by 2011 these guys could come up with something better than " makeup now ,you know jehovah hates a divorcing !
" ( but obviously he doesn't mind a woman being abused !
Today if their is someone I know personally who is being physically abused,
a child or A woman, I will inform the authority. This is our responsibility. How
would you feel if the abuse end in death. I knew a few elders that was abusive,
they are the last ones to go too for help, (protect their own).
as a born in jw, i've always believed that jehovah had no beginning per say.
at the same time i've had the house and watch having a creator argument stamped within my brain for use against evolutionists.
some days its difficult rationalising god's existance as having always been, with everything else needing to be created by him.
The boundaries of the universe, what's out there and how do we describe
it,s location and time..Since there are no reference points outside of what
we know, location, nothing and time cannot be described. My head hurts.
the reason i asked this is because i'm going to the funeral of a man who wasn't a jw.
my mother-in-law has lived in the same neighborhood as him for years and knows his wife.
i asked her if she was going attend the funeral service.
Ashamed and Arrogant. Is that possible to be both???
