Backward Masking
by bigmouth inif you're under about 30 this might not mean much to you but during the 80's and 90's there was always a heap of counsel on debasing music.it made you terrified to listen to anything except the brilliant kingdom melodies.
we had a big thing here in nz about music that had been recorded in such a way as to give some sort of demonic message in a subliminal way.we couldn't listen to stairway to heaven,hotel california and a host of other songs.ah hell!, we may as burn everything.but i found devo's whip it is masked and now i couldn't care less,great song.of course you could only check by turning your vinyl backwards.anyone get freaked out back then too?

I spun all those records backwards and could never find anything. The only backward masked stuff I found was on a Cure song, but it didnt say anything special or bad, it was just people talking. I think they included it just for effect as going forward it had a very strange sound.

In response to Babylon being desolate to this day, it is not. That is a failed prophecy. It is worth doing a search on the internet, or i can email some articles and incredible photos. Babylon was partly rebuilt by Saddam. He was living in a palace in Iraq before the war with 300 permanent staff. During the invasion 3000 US troops used babylon as a base.
The Bible says that it will never be inhabited again, and it is. -

i told her to sit with us, but she didn't want to.
she wanted to sit with a sister her age in another part of the stadium.

I met a worldly girl in the door to door and help convert her into a JW, mow thats mean. She ended up getting d/f, so was screwed over twice because of me.

Thanks for that, quite amazing.
That sentence is word for word what the official Watchtower teaching is. How can anyone possibly write something like that without seeing the irony in it, and how do JWs read it without noticing that something is wrong. I know I used to swallow those types of comments hook, line and sinker, and am still baffled at how the mind can be so accepting and gullible. -

Brief Announcement: I have disfellowshipped the Watctower Society
by bigmouth init is with little or no regret that i have found it necessary to disfellowship the watchtower bible and tract society in order to protect my good name.
after unrepentantly fornicating with the scarlet coloured wild beast for 10 years and having been exposed by a worldly organization, i have not been able to find any note of contrition or shame.plenty of time has been allowed for an apology but nothing has been forthcoming.indeed, minimising the sin indicates a haughty attitude.
i,for my part,will forever be ashamed of my association with wtbs.i apologise to bible students i've had and the fear i have displayed in saying nothing for 24 years.

If you want to go out with a bang and don't mind being shunned it would be great to send the letter to everyone; Bethel, your elders and anyone you know in the cong. If it goes to Bethel it will be read by a couple of old elders and filed in the cabinet for letters from the "they must be insane or evil hearted not to believe what we believe" and forgotten about. If it goes to the elders at least the whole elder body will probably get a chance to hear about it. But it is such a cool idea why not send it to everyone you know. -

by ?me? inwhat would/could happen if you and your wife decided that you needed to divorce?
lets say one of us screwed up and cheated, how do you think it would go over if you stonewalled the elders when they tried to get some info?
just told them "it is personal" or just told them that there was grounds to divorce ( even if you did not give any more info).

"not suspicious"? You must be talking about a different Org. One friend of mine was disfellowshipped because a sister slept over at his flat. The reasoning was that the "impression" was given to anyone that may know that she stayed there that fornication was committed. It did not matter that he said he had not done anything. Quite a joke because he is gay.

It is quite simple, there is only one scriptural ground for divorce, fornication.
If you say you have grounds but not say what or who, both of you will be d/f. The reasoning will be that one of you committed fornication and the other is covering the sins of others. (You can be d/f for not dobbing someone in as one of my friends was). You will also be said to be practicing loose conduct if you refuse to tell the elders what the sin was and who did the sin (the WTS claims that loose conduct includes having a disrespectful attitude).
If you separate and say there are no grounds for divorce then neither of you can remarry.
The only way around it is for one of you to be a sacrificial goat, confess to adultry and get d/f.
OR leave the WTS.
