Esteban doesn`t like being reminded of his "old light" (failed predictions). In other words, he`s not so unlike the WTBTS.

Truth and Understanding
by 777 inthe slave is not greater than the master.. jah the almighty was the first sacrifice as the master, where jesus christ was the second as holy or perfect sacrifices.
jah the almighty had to sacrifice loved ones in order to raise a perfect family in discipline and righteousness.
without rebellion there would be no need for discipline, there was rebellion, therefore need for discipline.. .

Aha, Esteban Leuse aka Slave1111 aka "The faithful and discreet slave" is back, predicting the end of the world, as his last predictions (november 2005) failed to come true, just as they did the time before that, the time before that, etc. I love these Messiah-complex-guys, they spice up the forum.

Question about the 1260 and 1335 days
by mathead ini was just at jwfacts.com and was looking at the daniel/revelation phrophecies.
the book of daniel mentions 1260 and 1335 days.
the wts interprets these dates as follows:.

1930:
1260 days are literal days, from a specific article in Watch Tower Nov 7 1914 to May 7, 1918 when and arrest order on WTS president and board members was issued. In Your Will Be Done this understanding is given as evidence that the "time of the end" has come and these words can be understood. [Light I, p 199; Your Will be Done on Earth p181,331]Isn`t that just amazing, that someone would have the audacity to attribute a passage in the Bible to themselves personally!?! It`s as if I said that "hmm, I`m pretty sure the 1260 days spoken of in the Bible refer to the number of days I spent studying at university...because this was an important stage in the development of my personal theological views blah blah blah". Talk about narcissism. The WTBTS have the greatest Messiah/God-complex anyone has ever had.

GB and their 'Hot Chicks'!

Ok Spectrum, sorry, I misread you then.
Hm, I wonder...do the GBs make any exceptions for the rule on oral (and stuff...) with their young, hot women?
"It`s ok, mrs Jaracz...I`m a GB. Now, get down on your knees, babe..."

"Ugly people" have a right to "beautiful people".
I don`t think anyone has a right to anything, when it comes to things like this. Sex is not a right at all. That sex is a "right" has been used as an argument for legalizing prostitution (in the case of retarded/disabled people, etc, that they need to get some too). While I don`t have anything against prostitution (if someone chooses to sell their body for money, that`s their right), I don`t agree that people have a right to have sex with other people. If someone`s willing to have sex with an ugly, retarded, disabled guy (or whatever), great. If not, tough luck. He`s always got mrs.Right Hand (oh no, that`s a sin, I forgot...).

The last 8000 of the 144000 are dead? Who will be their leaders? The Nethinim class?
I`m thinking they might go for the soon to be invented Nephilim class! These are the fattest of the fat, elders weighing in at over 350 lbs (and preferably tall). After that it will be the Lazarus class (only elders who at one time in their life were in a coma, but woke up again).

Rex:
The underlying idea in that article is and age-old idea: That this is the "best of all possible worlds". I believe Leibniz was the first to sum up this idea. One aspect of this belief is that even though bad things happen to innocent people in the world, as a result of mans free will (the will do do evil things towards others), then this has to be, because free will is in itself a greater good (for all mankind) than the painful things that some people have to experience because of free will (other peoples bad behaviour, war etc, which is what these other people chose). A problem for this idea, is, of course, natural disasters! Why did God create the planet in such a way that earthquakes, storms, tornados, etc, happens? Couldn`t God have created it otherwise? Both of these issues (both pain inflicted on innocent people who did no wrong, as well as natural disasters) begs the question:
Is God really omnipotent? Was this the best he could do? Was it not possible for God to create the world in such a way that natural disasters didn`t happen, and was it not possible for God to create man with free will without this free will having consequenses for innocent people (when some people choose evil, and inflict pain on others)? If this was not possible for God, then God too is subjected to "natural laws", just as man, and he is NOT omnipotent (but could be good/benevolent). If God could have created the world otherwise, but didn`t then God is omnipotent but not good/benevolent.
You can`t have it both ways...

What you have failed to do is save anyone from anything except life and family
Of course, in Jws eyes, he believes he and the JWs are saving people from dying at Armageddon. But think of it this way, Jw: If Armageddon doesn`t come in your lifetime (as it didn`t come in the lifetime of Russel or Rutherford, even though they both said that it would), then what will be the accumulated accomplishments of all JWs living today? I`ll sum it up for you:1) Screwing up childhoods with regular and severe beatings (yes, it`s common in almost every JW-family, all justified with Proverbs 13:24, 22:15, 23:13-14, and similar verses), all in the name of training them to "serve Jehovah". 2) Even more messed up childhoods, because pedophiles are allowed to do their dirty deeds without being reported to the police, due to the "two witness rule".
3) Getting no education, because you`re so sure the end is near, that you devote yourself to do pioneer work, and waste your 20s and 30s pushing magazines for a billion-dollar-corporation which claims to be "Gods visible mouthpiece on earth" (despite the fact that this "mouthpiece" has predicted, and failed, about the date of the end of the world something like two dozen times).
4) People willingly going to their deaths over the blood issue, even though the blood-doctrine is and always was incorrect, and the WTBTS knows it and are trying to "soften up on it" by allowing "fractions", but, of course, can`t go all the way and drop the whole doctrine, because that would mean that tens of thousands have died for no reason.
...and...the list goes on and on.

2 Timothy 3:1-13
8 Now in the way that Jan´nes and Jam´bres resisted Moses, so these also go on resisting the truth, men completely corrupted in mind, disapproved as regards the faith.
"The truth" in this verse is not the JW-religion, of course, but JWs, who refer to their own religion as "the truth" (that was a very clever move by the WTBTS btw), are unable to see that.
12 In fact, all those desiring to live with godly devotion in association with Christ Jesus will also be persecuted. 13 But wicked men and impostors will advance from bad to worse, misleading and being misled.
Yup, that`s the JWs. Misleading and being mislead.

JW's TORTURES DAUGHTER TO DEATH

I can`t believe someone would actually claim that beatings are not common in JW-families. I got my share, but at least it was always with the flat hand, usually on the butt, occasionally to the face. On the other hand, he was a very strong man. The worst one was the one that was most embarassing, leaned over the car in the parking lot outside the hall, because I was around 10 years old (almost entering "teen-dom" you know), and the entire congregation were walking by, seeing it all. I had, of course, not been sitting as quietly during the meeting, as I was expected to. But still, I was never beaten half to death. But my nephew was. His JW-parents beat him half to death a number of times, both his mother (my older sister, what a bitch) and his father. They threw him down the stairs once, he must have been around 7 or 8 at the time. He`s had several fractures, and has scars pretty much everywhere, including one on the upper lip/right under the nose.
Beating children is more the rule than the exception in JW-families, and everyone here knows it. Anyone who says that "it is not that common" is a complete, repulsive LIAR! And that is the damn TRUTH!
