LoL, he has closed down the Guestbook now. Guess he was receiving to much "spiritual food". I sure would like to know if the FDS knew about his web page, though.

Does anyone know?
by Honesty inthe wtbts has some interesting comments but they still don't describe the why, how or what of the matter.
they also twist the scripture proofs they provide as evidenced below:.
*** it-1 966 goat ***.

Eh...I really have no clue on this, but here is my theory: The ancient Israelites were sheep-herders. Their livestock was mainly sheeps and goats, so it`s only normal that such a peoples mythology would evolve around these animals. Everyone that knows anything about these animals, knows that the goat, especially the males, are much more stubborn than sheep (I`m no expert, but I grew up on a farm until I was 6, and my older sister and her husband has a farm). When trying to make a sheep or a goat walk, it`s impossible to do this by pulling it by the neck. (These animals are really strong, by the way, you couldn`t pull a fullgrown sheep with you if your life depended on it). The only way to make a sheep walk, is by pushing it (from behind), not pulling it. With goats, that won`t usually work either, they`ll only walk when they feel like it. So the goat would perhaps be seen as an animal "in opposition" (like men that were in opposition to God), while sheeps were more willing to follow the will of it`s master (like good, religious jews?). This is just my personal rambling, you won`t find this in any books...
However, there`s another thing about sheeps and goats and stuff I find intriguing. The ancient Israelites had the custom of once a year, to (symbolically) "lay all the sins of the tribe" on a sheep or goat, and chase it out into the wilderness (god, ancient people were really, really stupid ). So, by doing this, the tribe was cleansed of its sins for another year. Anyway, when Jesus died on the cross, christianity says that he died as an offering for "the sins of all mankind". Sounds familiar? Was the whole "offering" of Christ based on an old Israelite custom?

Hi. This is a website run by a faithful JW:
http://www.strictlygenteel.co.uk/
...in which he has published online the old books of Russel and Rutherford. His motivation for doing so, was that it was better for people to find these books a webbie run by a JW, rather than on apostate websites (I doubt he has cleared this with the WTS, though). Then it turned out this guy had a Guestbook on his web page (bottom of page), and of course I had to post some "spiritual (junk)food" there. I posted a couple of times, and they were removed. I decided to try once more (a little more subtle and descrete this time), and this time he has decided to let it stay there, but he has answered my post. My post is the second last one, under the nick "Jonathan Whale" (best I could think of at the moment, pluss I`m feeling kind of biblical today...). In his answer I can read between the lines that he understands that I`m an apostate, but he has decided to fight knowledge with just ignoring facts. Check it out, and feel free to post some "spiritual food" (but be subtle and descrete, or he`ll remove it).

Ouija boards Do you feel they are real or not?Any personal experiences?
by Ticker ini've had several expereiences with ouija boards, some interesting, some disturbing, and as skeptical as i try to be i have to admit i have seen it personally say things and do things that i can not logically explain.
some say its your sub-conscience, some say its spirits, others say its demons.
i am just wondering if any of you have had experiences with the ouija board, what they were, and what you believe about them, supernatural or just another simple amusement?

I tried it once as a teenager, it didn`t work. I think demons are scared shitless of me!

nor am I taking the piss out of people
LoL, I actually thought you were for real. But what faithful Witnoid uses the expression "taking the piss out of people"? Hey Scholar, you might want to go repent your sins to your elders now. Scholar hates apostates because they are intellectually bankrupt, having found only darkness and ignorance with no God, religion, brotherhood or mission. Scholar only posts here to defend the truth and nothing but the truth and is not interested in converting the unbeliever and the sceptic.
Interesting. Basically, you`re saying that to be "intelectual bankrupt" and ignorant, is the same as having no God, religion or brotherhood. That`s funny. The way I see the expression "intelectual bankrupt", it has nothing whatsoever to do with being godlesss. But it has everything to do with believing blindly in a book publishing company that has elevated itself into God, basing its so-called "religion" on a century and-a-half of lies, constanly changed doctrines, prophecies that didn`t happen, and cover-ups. And you can hardly claim that people on this forum has no mission: Most people here has a mission, exposing the WTbts as what it is: A death cult!
Scholar is happy as a active publisher who plans to pioneer and continue his academic studies whilst reaching out for priviliges of service.
Good for you. By academic studies, I assume you mean going to serve as a Bethel-boy, being well taught (brainwashed) in Witnoid-doctrine, and becoming one of those "celebrated WT-scholars" you seem to think so much of (which the rest of the world have never even heard of). Make sure when you pioneer, that the door doesn`t hit you on the ass on your way out, that can be painful, I`ve been told. If Leo Greenlee had been still alive up there at Bethel, I`m sure he would have toughened up your behind a bit, before sending you out door-to-door. Oh well, maybe there are some others up there with the same taste in young Bethel-boys as him.Oh, and "Scholar", you forgot one thing in your biography up there: "Scholar is such an obnoxious, pompous ass, that he prefers to speak of himself in the 3rd person".

The same thing happened to me. My granfather on my fathers side, lived to be a very old man, 93 years old, I believe. When he died, my aunt, his daughter, who lives in Australia, arranged the service on phone from down under, with the congregation here in Norway!!! She had been here on visit a few months earlier, and had of course dragged this old man, who didn`t have a religious bone in his body all his life, with her to a meeting at KH. He went with her a couple of times, but from what I understand, that was it. He was never baptised, didn`t even know the details of this religion. So, the service was to be held at the Hospitals Chapel, where he died. I thought it was strange that he wasn`t gonna have a church burial, but thought nothing more of it. Imagine my surprise when I came there, and the chapel was filled with JWs! And that obnoxious district overseer I remember from when I was a kid, was holding the speech! I sat (literally) on the edge of my seat, listening to his speech! And I was at least expecting that it be a "neutral" speech, without lots of specific JW-stuff, but oh no: That guy read the whole damn thing, about Jehovah and hope of ressurection on paradise earth, etc. I was so angry, I just got up in the middle of the service and walked out!My aunt, that damn bitch, lives in Melbourne. If there are any aussies here from Melbourne, just PM me, and I`ll give you her name. She cheated me an my siblings on our inheritage too. That`s JW-love for ya!

Periodic Conspiracy? You mean that women are conspiring to menstruate simultaneously, so they`ll all have PMS at the same time, and make life a living hell for all men?

People who never cry....
by JH in.
does this mean that they have less feelings, or that they were taught not to show their feelings, or they don't have any?
-
Hellrider
I am also one of those that very rarely cries. In my adult life, I`ve cried three times: In my mothers funeral, when my son was born, and...when I saw Schindlers List...(^blush*...damn Steven Spielberg...). But that doesn`t mean I have less feelings than other people, quite the opposite. I am a very emotional person, I am deeply affected by lots of things, but I hurt/suffer more in the long run, over time, I can`t just cry when something happens and be over with it, like many others. Everything takes time with me, if I get sad/hurt, I stay that way for weeks, the same way if I get angry. (I`m don`t think I`m an easy person to be around, to be honest)

No reply to KatieKitten, "Scholar"? Your still on this thread: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/10/194.ashx
...just scratching your head how to answer Jeffros critique of the achievements of your "celebrated WT-scholars" and the "momentous date of 607", aren`t you. About these "celebrated WT-scholars", I`m a little curious here: If they are so "celebrated", I should have heard of their names, shouldn`t I? What are the names of these "celebrated WT-scholars", "Scholar"? It couldn`t be the same "celebrated WT-scholars", Fredrick Frantz and George Gangas, who were the "scholars" who rewrote the Bible into the NWT, could it? (with little or no knowledge of hebrew or biblical greek, I might add). Please enlighten me, "celebrated WT-scholar".
