i just wanted to share a little of my story perhaps to gain insight into myself, and perhaps just to share with like minded people.

okay, y'all, get out your experiences, thinking caps, and remedies.
jennie is 11 (will be 12 in october).
this year she has started to show all of the classic signs of puberty, and a couple of weeks ago had cramps about the same time as my cycle.
Ooops! I forgot this in the first two posts. Meds didn't do squat for me, but a nice cold gel pack from the freezer ( wrapped in a dry towel or cloth ) placed on my forehead or base of my skull helped. It constricts the blood vessels to help drain the congestion from the area.
http://www.moorspa.com/tension_balm.html This product really works for me and is all natural ingredients. Peppermint and feverfew are the main ones. I know that it is a bit pricey but it lasts forever, I think that I've had mine for 3-4 months, use it about every 2 weeks and have barely made a dent in it. If you want to try and avoid meds because of her age you might want to give it a try.

Getting into a dark and very quiet room is great at the first signs of a migraine, especially if she can get some sleep, it seems to work for me to shorten the duration and the pain level. Is she getting any auras other then the tunnel vision?

Sorry to hear about your daughter's migraines.
I first started to get migraines when I was 4 years old. They did a cat scan at that time to rule out a brain disorder. They got worse as I hit puberty with all the hormone fluctuations but evened out as my hormones settled. Too much stress, heat, certains foods such as pickles, caffeine ( before they started, but would help if already full blown. ) aged cheeses etc. And fluorescent lighting was bad along with certain smells.
Perhaps after meeting with the gyno. you will want to get a cat scan and additional testing to ensure that their isn't an additional cause besides hormones?
Best of Luck! Damselfly
I was 9 or 10 before I realized what field service was and my uncle took me out. Then I didn't know until after I was baptized @ 14, that you were supposed to turn in your time. Looking back I guess I never really payed a lot of attention in the meetings.

or will one of them invaribly end up being attracted to the other?
** sensitive, tender and caring lover **: I also know that sometimes a woman likes it rough.
Now I'm sorry I called your beotch inflatable.
Women like it better when men stand up for themselves. There is nothing more infuriating ( imo ) then someone who lets himself be used.

I was 30 mins off my quota for auxillary pioneering ( I think that's the one with 60 hours ) one month so I rounded up . Other then that the rest of the year I avoided field service at all costs.

That would be the beotch on her knees.
You seem little cranky tonight! I would imagine you would be in a better mood if she wasn't inflatable.

i have posted a few subjects here and am new.
i have received a lot of support here and encouragement to post.
it has affected me in ways i didn't think possible.
I am learning to discuss and bring it out again, but this time, learn from it, digest it, reason with it, and make the lessons count. Take the good from it and LEAVE the rest behind!!! If you get anything out of your experiences, remember the things you tried to stand for, the ideals of courage and being upright and good. After all, isn't that what we wanted to be, and stand for that attracted us to the JWs?
It sounds like you are in the right mindset to heal and move on with your life. Everything in our lives is an opportunity to learn and hopefully grow and develope.
I wish you the best of luck on your journey.

this made me sick when i read it!
it's from the awake july 8/05, the second response.. "my husband and i have tried to have children since shortly after our wedding.
now, years later, we are faced with the issues described in this series.
We count it a true blessing that we can devote our time to serving Jehovah fully."
So having children is a blessing from God and not having children is a blessing from God. Make up your f*cking minds WTBTS!
Silly me! I thought it was only D/F persons like myself that suffered from infertility, until I repent and re-dedicate myself to the B'org and which point 'my loins will be blessed'.
This article is heartless, I read it on their website.
