I don't. All of my family is still in and I love them very much. There are no JW's that I hate.

Truth does not equal "love" anymore then lies equals "hate". Which is all besides the point as I feel if as a group we preach anything its freedom.

My delicious homeade chicken wontons dipped in peanut sauce

you can get wontons, in various shapes, at your grocer.

i prefer the small squared.. partially defrost boneless chicken tenders, breast or thighs.

you do not have to cook chicken first.

sKally, is there another way to prepare the sauce without peanut butter? My daughter is allergic to peanuts.

They sound like they would be good with a ginger sauce. This is one I make.

Ginger Sauce

1/4 cup each vinegar, sugar and water. 1 good chunk of fresh ginger grated (about a 2 inch square piece). 1 TBSP of soy sauce. 1-2 cloves garlic minced fine. Put in a saucepan and bring to boil then simmer on low heat until it thickens and reduces a bit. Maybe around 10 mins? This doubles well and will keep in the fridge for while.

ok, as some of you know, i was suppose to have a "study" with my mom and an elders wife yesterday.

well, the elders wife couldn't make it because "something came up".

i guess it was more important than my salvation.. anyway, i still went to my parents house.

My mom did admit that yes, she could be wrong about the religion. That’s a step I never thought I’d hear. My dad and sister still won’t admit to that.

What "Rules" Did You Have In Your Congregation?

in our congregation, we had a theocratic ministry school overseer make the sisters stand while giving their talks because he would counsel them on a point of counsel having to do with speaking to the "householder".

(i forget that exact point of counsel) so the sisters knew they had to follow this imbecile's quirks or get a "w".

another rule that was eventually abandoned too, was that only elders and ministerial servants could offer prayer at the kingdom hall......any rules that you had to deal with??

They were really strict in my old hall about pierced ears. There was the elder that wouldn't allow his children to have pierced ears, instead they were allowed to wear little stickers in place of earrings (I am not making this up- no actual peircings allowed but you can make it look like you do with stickers)

This didn't go over well with the rest of the hall and just about every female had their ears pierced. Then they informed that under no circumstances should we have more then one earring per ear. In an attempt to cheer me up when feeling very, very depressed my mom took me to get mine done a second time. So now I had two in each ear! What a jezebel I was. LOL

when we were living in grenada, i developed the bad habit of cutting myself on a regular basis.

it was interesting how i got to that point.

i was doing things that any other normal 13 or 14 year old girl would be doing, having crushes, kissing boys, cussing at school, listening to ''objectional music''....i know now that those were all normal things, but at the time i was sure i was doing wrong and needed to be punished for jehovah to forgive me.
