A few years ago when my hormones were out of whack from extreme stress my hair thinned ALOT. I was worried it was never going to stop. (Thankfully it did and thickened up again)
Does she feel stress easily?

A thyroid problem can also cause this.

alopecia
by BlackSwan of Memphis inhello all.. ok i'm wondering if anyone here has ever had to deal with alopecia which is bascially loss of hair.. the reason i ask is because we have noticed that our 6 year old daughter's hair seems much thinner.
at first we thought it was just because she was getting ahold of the scissors and giving herself a trim.
but we are both (her dad and i) noticing that it seems like its just plain thin and that there is hair in her bed in the morning when she gets up.. i just noticed when she got out of the bath that it seems thinner at the root area.

"If You Needed A Blood Transfusion Would You Take It?''
by minimus inthat was the question that i was asked this morning by the nurse before undergoing my procedures at the hospital.
she said, "some people can't take blood because of their religious beliefs.
i used to be a jehovah's witness and if needed i will take a blood transfusion".......now that was the first time i ever expressed those words!

Yes I would.
I used to grossed out by the thought but really it's just a bunch of cells and water. Do you eat meat? Then why won't you take blood?

Fluff: Ladies, what makes you crazy?
by serendipity inin the last topic i started, i asked "what makes a chick crazy": http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/20/116188/1.ashx.
one of the posters suggested that women talk about what drives them crazy.
so ladies, what are the annoying habits of the people closest to you that drives you loco?.

Just to add ~ this was not something that I ended lightly. I thought long and hard and like Serendipity, considered it from all angles to make sure I knew what I was doing.

I know I made the right decision because it has allowed me to become my own person, my stomach stopped hurting and I am better off in all ways (finacially, emotionally, education wis etc)

Hi, add another left eyebrow scar to the list. Mine is an old scar form when I was 4 and had chickenpox.
Erm..what else? 5'1 & curvy, blue eyes. Long brown hair that waves and drives me nuts.
I like kitties and dragonflies, reading, crocheting and knitting. Feels a bit personal add-ish to me.
Very shy at first but then I'm oodles of fun.

NO BENEFITS TO BLOOD TRANSFUSION...?
by Gill inthe august 2006 awake, makes the claim that there is no benefit to blood transfusion except in trauma, according to proffessor bruce spiess:.
there are few if any (medical) articles that supposrt transfusion actually improving outcome.
" in fact, he writes that many transufusions 'may do more harm than good in virtually every instance except trauma,' increasing 'the risk of pneumonia, infections, heart attacks and strokes.'.
