NYT opinion pages are not well balanced sources. Dallas got their first April snow in over 60 years this weekend, damn global warming is bringing about all these winter storms. ;-)

The hill with the Hollywood sign had a wildfire yesterday. I guess two teenagers playing with fire combined with the dry weather started a blaze. No one got hurt and the backside of that hill is pretty empty so no structures were damaged. But it looked really cool. My commute wasn't as bad as I thought. They had some of the freeway and the Caheunga Pass (the area between Hollywood and the Valley) closed but I guess since it started early enough (1pm) people avoided the area.
My Mom probably saw the pictures on the news and said "Jehovah is burning all the sinners!"

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Early Daylight Saving Time
by Lady Lee infor the most part i rely on my computer clock to give me the right time.. well just missed an appointment because of that .
i have adjusted the time several times - those senior's moments made me think i just forgot to to do it.. well each time i set it the stupid clock resets to the old time.
allk my other clocks are fine except the computer.. i finally realized that if i set the computer to say i am in the central time zone it just might stay at the right time until the end of the month when i can rest it for eastern time.

It has been the biggest pain the in the ass. I didn't know Canada went along with it. At work the XP machines were ok but the 2000s weren't. Then the 2000s were ontime but the XP were AHEAD an hour. My boss's blackberry messed up all of his appointments and instead of adjusting the clock, it actually moved appointment times. Thank god my Mac at home has been right on the whole time.

Hiring a new fellow today and they must be white.
by hambeak inas some of you know i am a manager of an auto repair place that does it all.. the owner is ethiopian and hates blacks.
i had a great guy there who is black and did a great job.
the owner absolutely was rude and nasty to him calling him an animal and ordered him fired because he was slow in getting things done.. i am caught in the middle cuz i need my job to pay the bills so no more black or mexican workers just white folks even though most i have seen are not motivated or see something that has to be done so now i am a baby sitter and have to let them know what has to be done every minute of the day.. oh well such is the life working for foreigners here in the usa..

I just got fired and I may not have enough money to go to Italy
by tsunami_rid3r ini just got fired from my job as a waiter because she said i sucked or something along those lines.
i have a week before the fee is due, which is $1,700, and thats not including the plane ticket, my digging equipment, and extra spending money.
i already made a $300 deposit, and $1,700 is only for 3 weeks.

Don't drop out of school! You'll regret it years from now. You can change schools if you feel whatever you're studying isn't fitting you but once you drop it is so hard to get started again.

Did you have a favorite food at the assemblies (when they sold it there)?

he was wondering what i was eating- a frozen jello pudding cup.
i remember getting them at the assemblies, especially the hot summer district assemblies.

Oh yeah I remember the soft serve ice cream when they used to sell phone at the assembly hall. Anyone recall that people would like up for food during the last talk before intermission? Or as soon as you said "amen" the line was out the door.

Your Opinion Wanted-What should really be done to child molesters?
by avidbiblereader ini have not tried to hide my past as a victim of this, but this is always an area that i have to fight my personally feelings as to what should be done to child molesters.
they ruin lives, scar an individual for a lifetime!.
should they be incarcerated for life, castrated, turned over to the family member(s), public humiliation like a branding everywhere they go, tortured and or death penality?.
