it all starts with a former jw, who faded away probably about a decade ago, and then moved away, came out as a homosexual a few years ago.
he was never baptised, and he left so long ago, he never got chased up or disfellowshipped.

All I know is I don't remember before I was born. So even if I "move on" after I die. I don't think I'll remember this either. If creature has a soul that is immortal, then a lot of people must be turning into cocroaches for their next life.

No e-mail but I called them the other day and asked for their mailing address so I can mail them a X-Mas card. The operator asked for who and I said I send them out to the "business" for everyone. She gave me the Columbia Heights address. :-) I'm really tempted to use the Miss Cleo soundboard one time

It finally happened!
by Bstndance inbrief history: my mom found that i have a myspace (forbidden sin) and that i was a member of this group (bigger forbidden sin) so she stopped talking to me for 3 weeks.
today she finally calls all crying and said she spoke with the elders and they feel she should stop talking to me.
i told her i'm very happy she's crying because she knows she's making the wrong decision.

tijkmo: no I'm not DF but she said the elders need to talk to me. I said "bring it on". I live over 2 thousand miles away from her, I'd like to run up their phone bill for a bit.
pubsinger: Yeah, she's known about me for almost 10 years. It was the association with "apostates" that made her rat me out to the elders. I told her that I'm suprised she actually believes she is as weak as they tell her they are. At my age she was a single mom with two kids in school and did it all on her own. I always thought she was strong but I guess she slowly got beat down by the WTS and now she feels she's too weak to deal with her ex-JW son. What makes it funny is that my brother (the one with the child) doesn't get this type of treatment because he left for my dad's before the pressure to get baptized was turned on.
I do understand about the child should not be put in the middle because he doesn't really understand. But I do know that my sister-in-law is pissed off said she is going to keep a more watchful eye on whether my mom is trying to preach to their son.
I think the next step is to rat my mom out to her mom (my grandmother). Let her see how it feels. :-)
Yeah suing really won't get me anywhere. I wonder if one day there could be a class action suit against the Watchtower. They would probably try to get it thrown out on the basis that shunning is an individual decision.

the elders made me do it

when my mom came up to the hospital to see hannah she had told me that before she decided to come, she called bro so and so, an elder.
the way i took it was to make sure it was ok. to get some good healthy counsel.. it made me laugh later.
