I just said "bye" to my morning dump. It's no less significant than anything the watchtower has to say.

on one of those pro-jw message boards there was a small discussion about the magazine downsizing.here is one comment that stood out.. .
though the special letter read, mentioned printing, paper and the cost of presses has led to a reduction in the number of pages in the public issues of the magazines, it makes me wonder- hummmm.
the message to the public will now be shorter - and more than likely more direct.

sagamihara, japan -- a pet parakeet was returned to its japanese owner wednesday after the brainy bird told police its home address near tokyo.. link
Nice story. Some parakeets are great talkers. My cockatoo talks, but it's very hard to understand him. He once said to me, "You're a GOOD bird!". That's the only thing he ever said that was understandable. He's very affectionate though.

hey guys, just wanted to hear your stories about the worst dates you have been in or have heard about.. .
let's see... worst date... hmm.... .
okay so this didn't happen to me, but i was there lol.
My worst "date" was before I was a JW. A friend of mine called to say he had 2 female friends visiting from Detroit and they wanted to get laid before going home. He had a girlfriend and couldn't do the honours, so he called me and another friend for this mission. I wasn't feeling very well and tried to decline, but he was very persuasive. He's the kind of guy who never takes "no" for an answer.
So there we were, getting busy on the couch when I had to abruptly excuse myself and go to the bathroom. I spent the next half hour there with the runs as well as puking my guts out. That kind of spoiled the "mood" for both of us.
The girl was very nice about the whole thing, but I never saw her again. Can't say I blame her.

how do you explain david's graphic portrayal of jesus' death by crucifixion (psalm 22) 1000 years before christ lived?.
how do you account for the odds (1 in 10 to the 157th power) that even just 48 (of 300) old testament prophecies were fulfilled in jesus christ?.
in what sense was jesus a "good man" if he was lying in his claim to be god?.
How do you explain David's graphic portrayal of Jesus' death by crucifixion (Psalm 22) 1000 years before Christ lived?
This is assuming that these things were not written after the fact. Without the aid of scientists, historians, and religionists who we don't even know personally we have no way of verifying anything. It could all be a very elaborate hoax. Who can independently prove any of it?
I was raised in a Catholic home, went to a Catholic school, and taught to believe in God. That was true. Then I was taught that evolution was true. I was taught that brushing my teeth with Colgate was good. Then I was taught that the chemicals in it were not good. Then I was taught that eggs were bad, and that was true. Now I read that eggs are good, and that is true.
I could go on all day...
Bottom line: Most humans could say "good morning" to me, and I would assume they are lying. I no longer trust anything I read or hear. I trust only what I experience.

even if you consider yourself a moral person, would you say that you are as honest, faithful, or any different than you were as a jw?.
I left them because they were beneath my moral standards.

you can cut & paste all the excerpts from articles you want...you can leak all the boe letters, you can pretend to be witnesses and come to the conventions and meetings...but.
no other organization can begin to rival the success and magnitude of the prophecy found in mt 24:14. so apostates....don't waste your time spending countless hours digging up articles and reading books to convince yourself to turn away from jh's organization.
no matter what "evidence" you find you cannot ignore the obvious fulfillment of matthew 24:14.. .
you cannot ignore the obvious fulfillment of Matthew 24:14.
Watch me.

i'm kind of freaking out because i'm getting all four of my wisdom teeth pulled in a few weeks.
two of them are completely impacted, and one is partially impacted.
fortunately, they're not oddly aligned.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only person who never had a problem with my wisdom teeth. All 4 grew in by the time I was 16. I've since lost 2 molars though.

i am curious to see how different people answer this question.
i dont think there is a right or wrong answer per se, just an answer that is more right to each person.
is it worse to let a guilty person go free, or to lock up an innocent person?
I'm a bit biased because I was jailed in 1981 for a crime I didn't commit. I was pardoned about 20 years later, but that didn't undo the damaged caused. It certainly didn't elevate my respect for "authority".
