  WTS requesting insurance checks? Verification?

  i have read comments on several threads about the wts policy on asking folks whose homes have been repaired/rebuilt by jw volunteers to sign over their insurance checks to the wts?.

  is there any kind of paper proof of this policy anywhere?

  any further details would be kindly appreciated!!.

  I wouldn't have a problem with someone asking for a donation either. Coersion is another story. And if I donate then I decide the amount. If someone tries to "suggest" a figure to me then they're lucky if they get a dime.

  I've never had a role model. While many people have attributes I like and respect, they also have shortcomings that I don't care for.

  If I chose to imitate something it's an attribute, not a person.

  What's the big deal about a Circuit Overseer visit?

  according to the son of my newly baptised jw friends, they re-decorating their house for a visit and 'inspection' by the circuit overseer.

  can anyone explain what the circuit overseer's visit is all about?

  does he or she normally visit the homes of people in the congregation?

  The circuit overseer visit is an opportunity for brothers who are "reaching out" to kiss some big time ass. It's considered a "privilege" to feed these freeloading bastards.

  who pays for the building materials when they re-build houses "free of charge" ?

  Presumably those who voluntarily donate to relief efforts. When I donate, it's a gift to help someone who is in dire straits. I don't expect repayment. Neither do I expect a "charitible" organization to turn someone's pain into an opportunity to make a profit.

  So if the recipients of the society's "generosity" don't "donate" their insurance cheques the shepharding calls shakedowns begin?

  Do other charitible organizations send invoices to the recipients of disaster relief assistance? I'd love to see such an invoice reprinted in the newspapers.

  I wouldn't say I'm "addicted" to anything other than smoking, and I'm working to give that up. But if I had to choose between internet porn and a "real relationship", I'd go for the porn, for now anyway. I've had my fill of "relationships". I've had enough of them to last me a dozen lifetimes. Can you tell I suck at relationships? W

  Well, I sent him a message, but I was polite, and I got a pretty decent response from him in spite of the fact I identified myself as an apostate. I was surprised he responded to me at all. But he mentioned that he got some messages that were not very nice.
