I only made return visits™ on people I was interested in talking to again. Sometimes they had no interest in the watchtower, such as a couple of WW2 vets I called on. I'd visit these guys and spend the afternoon listening to their war stories and other experiences. I learned a lot from these guys. I also made it a point to visit any hot women who took the magazines, but that came to an end when I got married. My wife took over those calls™.

oh my god it was so horrible....was the worst pain i have ever been in.
it was a 3 hour labor contraction....i couldn't even walk.
i was crawling into the emergency room.
I had kidney stones several times. No fun at all! I always carry some meds with me now in case of an attack.

while i didn't like being a jw there were 1 or 2 good points.
what was your favorite thing about being a jw?.
mine was all the parties and social gatherings we had.
I liked the congregation BBQs for the variety of food. There were so many different ethnic backgrounds in the congregation and therefore so many different types of food to try. On the down side, for me these large get togethers reinforced the knowledge that I could never fit in with these people, no matter how hard I tried. Even in these large gatherings, getting someone to talk to me for more than 2 minutes was like pulling teeth. Most of them grew up as JWs, and had the friends they grew up with, and seemed to have little inclination to expand their circle of friends. As an adult JW convert, I always felt like I was on the outside looking in - even when I took the initiative to invite people to my home.

it seems that all of the parts on the theocratic ministry school were given by the pioneers in my old hall.
also the elders were always complemented on how "sister pioneer" is so zealous and loves jehovah.
as if sister not pioneering hated jehovah.
Several times my congregation rented party rooms and had "congregation get togethers" to "honour the pioneers™". I boycotted these because I thought they were inappropriate.

still not a conscience matter... although for the countries that demand that everyone register and actually walk in the booth to cast a vote, a witness may, if his conscience allows, register and go into the booth and add a new box labelled "jesus christ", then checkmark that box and vote for him... hahaha cool eh?!!!.

That's probably a good idea. I made some comments, and now I'm even getting emails from some of them. They are stupid beyond belief. But I keep going back for a look - it's a bit like a bad car wreck - you just have to look, no matter how gross it is.
What's kind of scary is that I probably sounded the same as them a few years ago. That's what happens when you restrict yourself to a single source for information.

in articles concerning the internet, some of which have been titled "a balanced view of the internet", the watchtower devotes the first paragraph or two to the benefits that the internet offers and has provided.

then for the rest of the article they go on and on about the dangers and evils of the internet.. they have been consistent in writing in this manner in all the articles they have written concerning the internet.. can the watchtower itself truly be said to have a "balanced" view of the internet?.
And what is the article trying to suggest about the internet by using this picture?Go online using a notebook, and you will start smoking?

True, but it does show that they are as likely to have such serious problems as anyone else which is contrary to the image they like to portray.

ok, i was at meijer about to do my grocery shopping, though before i do shopping, i always eat something so i can stay on my budget and not grab everything i see.
the cafe' was closed so i had to get a deli sandwich.
i went to go pay and a lady steps in front of me.
I wanted to tell her SO bad..."why don't you just f*** off you B****.
That would have been a great first response.
If a stranger asks me something that's none of their business my usual response is, "Who the hell wants to know?"
Never allow a stranger who has no authority to put you on the spot or make you feel you have to explain yourself. You don't. Turn it around to put the instigator on the spot.
