i posted on there too and new friends are just coming out of the woodwork!
it seems like everyday there's another handful of messages from these jw defenders (some of them are unbelievably mean too!).
They always have that deer in the headlights look of utter stupidity with a small bead of saliva forming at the mouth corners.

im constantly amazed at technology, especially the technology that gets adopted and becomes so common we forget how amazing it is.. i think the internet, not just the www, but the mother of all networks with all its facets is the greatest technological advancement of all time.
im not sure if there has ever been anything like it in history.. 1. companies allow data to cross their wan clouds to other networks fairly freely.
this sharing of private resources creates a network that is greater than the sum of its parts.
It is the Babel of the new world.
Ssssssshhhhhhhhh!!!! WT lurkers might see this and decide it's new light. Next month they'll publish an article saying that the Internet is Babylon the Great.

20 years in the borg, and I don't remember ever hearing that scripture! I bet they never read it from the platform. I used to be so conscientous about not eating blood too. I still feel bad about all the pepperoni I picked off my pizza and threw out.

I have often wondered why so many Witnesses abstain from blood but eat animal meat they did not drain themselves. Certainly there is always a percentage of whole blood remaining in meat. Always. As in, without exception, given current technology.
I used to mention this to my ex all the time. She always ate her steak rare, with a pool of blood around it. She always became quite angry when I said something about it. But I was the "weak one" because I didn't underline my watchtower as much as she did.

i think there will be some debate over the reasons for this ... is it the threat of the death penalty stoppong people committing crime or are fewer convicted because jurors feel less confident knowing that it sends someone to their death.. maybe americans are just getting more civilised?!

No. I think more of them have just moved to Toronto. We've had quite a bit of gun violence this year.

ok, i got a call tonight from an old friend i knew years ago when i lived in another city.
i haven't seen him for 18 years although we have had occassional contact.
he's coming in to toronto next week and wants to know if we can get together to catch up.

my wife and i started fading about 2 1/2 years ago, but for different reasons.
she had noticed the lack of love and justice in the congregations, even experienced some firsthand and the abusive conduct of elders against the r&f.
on the other side, i was starting my research on the wt and had pretty much decided i didn't want any part in the borg.
I love to hear stories about people gaining their freedom!
