many months ago, i shared the experience of my removal from jehovah's witnesses.
to quickly recap, i had faded from meetings as an unbaptized publisher starting at about age 14 and had later decided to attend college against the wishes of my family.
as i liked to write stories, i sought a job at the college newspaper and became a columnist.. i brought some of my newspapers home during the winter break of my sophomore year, the one time i visited my parents during college.

after some considerable thought i have decided that i will no longer post on this forum because i want to return to jehovah.
thank you for all the kindness and many interesting discussions over the years.
i wish you all well in the future and the decisions you make.
Okay SBF I'm genuinely stunned! I wish you all the best.

sometimes the wtbts are just brilliant in coming up with new ways of wasting the jws time.. with this new edition they will have to be getting their head's around new terms and phrases.
many jws will know a lot of verses off by heart, now they will be required to relearn them which will be no simple task.. they have been told to keep their old nwt for research purposes.
now instead of looking up one scripture they will have two bible's to look up.. the writing committee now has so much new material available to them to write copious articles about.
I took a quick glance last night and saw tons of changes. Actually I wonder how many were necessary. As someone who memorized large sections of the NWT as a child I find a certain romance in the wording, even if I'm not particularly religious anymore. Many of the changes seemed superficial and unnecessary. But then again I'm not a Hebrew or Greek language expert so perhaps I'm missng something.
Isaac
i hope this thread can be a compilation of all the changes made.
it could serves as a good reference for those who want to help the loved ones to wake up.
please list down here all your findings if you don't mind.

i was curious if any of you who were part of judicial committees and disfellowshipped any ever after learning ttatt tried to look up those who were dfed and never returned, etc, or who are still dfed.
.
if so, tell us how it went.
I have to say that I avoided df'ing people as this is such a blow to many. I went private reproof if at all possible. But in some cases I knew the person would be better off out. In one such case the person's life dramatically improved as they became free to live a normal, non-conflicted life. We reconnected after I left and are great friends.

no more griping about uneducated, isolated people.
i am still unpacking my belongings.
because of the local housing, i had to downsize a lot.
Those tables are something new aren't they. There's one at 74th-Roosevelt Ave if you travel the E.F.M, 7and R lines.

anyone remember that?
i learned to read on that book.there were some very disturbing images, like the earth opening up and people falling into it.like upside down ladies and hippies.id love to get a hold of one and peruse it with a friend and some herbal medicine.maybe there is one in the attic?anyway, that and the image of the snake talking to the beautiful, bare shouldered eve,who was holding an apple, made a big impression on me.any else have any faves from that book?is it still being used?.
OMG! I haven't seen that picture in years. That's friggin' scary. Who would put that in front of kids?!
