My nightmare about the future
by Layla33 ini had a nightmare last night that was pretty vivid and i just wanted to record it, in case it might actually happen.
i am not saying it will, but i have had dreams in the past that have actually happened, which kind of scared me, and i have tested my "abilities" and i am mildly clairvoyant.
actually, as i have meditated more, i have been able to clearly tap into my senses.

That was just a bad dream. Fear and anxiety is understandable if you take in all the news and dire reports from every corner of the world today. That and the fact that we are all former JWs who also put faith in the bad dreams of the apostle John. It would be very unlikely that the American citizens would just allow the Chinese government or any other to just take over without a huge fight on the part of the population.
There are so many millions who love this country and the freedoms it stands for who would rally and resist assimilation into another culture.
Even if all the major cities were bombed, Americans would organize and stage the biggest defense fight for
its life ever. You can bet there are many lay militia groups already organized for just such a scenario.
And if other nations did not come to her defense...well then, they could expect to be taken over too by the same group.
Probably something you ate for dinner. Tonight take a sleep aid. -

My brother being kicked out of Bethel
by observador inone more sad story about someone beyond their good age being kicked out of bethel.
i have been informed that starting in march, he will be reassigned to the wonderful privilege of working as a pioneer in a distant rural area congregation.
my brother, 41, knows nothing but bethel life.

He should view getting kicked out of Bethel the best thing to happen to him!
He should go out there and get himself a full time job, with benefits, vacation etc.
He should integrate with society. They will find him to be a very sweet lovable oddball.
Really, encourage him to seek full time employment somewhere.
Working in the world opened my eyes to how wonderful people outside of the JWs really are.
They are caring, conscience using, trustworthy, colorful people with a sense of humor and healthy sexuality.
The jws had me so brainwashed somehow I thought full time employment was awful, when in fact it is great!
No more worrying about making the rent or paying for medical bills or putting gas in my car.
Duh, a full time job is a wonderful thing!!!!
He doesnt need special training, although he could get some through his local community college like I am doing now. One day a week I go to the junior college. By December I will receive a certificate to practice in the medical field.
I left the cult at nearly 50 and am enjoying a whole new life.
I hope he keeps walking........away from Bethel and clear out of the jw cult where he has wasted so much of his life!
Best wishes to your brother,

How many DF'd and DA'd ex-JWs still believe it's the truth?
by Nellie ini just got off the phone with my sister-in-law.
we don't talk regularly at all - but today the discussion turned to our beliefs.
she's da'd herself 15 years ago, but she is still filled with guilt over not being able to live up to the standards of the witnesses.

I see the Watchtower now as a business. I worked for them for a while. I broke some conduct rules and was fired. I left. I cried. Then I realized it was just a business organization I worked for for 35 years for free. My stupid mistake! My tears stopped and I started living again!
Hey, we worked for a huge conglomeration for free for years! Whose fault is that?
When you go to work for somebody and you see the work, you hear the pay, and you accept the terms,
whose fault is it? When others are working for somebody else and getting more pay and more perks and happier than you, what should you do? If you stay for years in a job despite being miserable, whose fault is that? I know I know, it is hard to extricate ourselves from the jws. Families must separate and say goodbye forever. Friendships are ruined etc. But having gone through it myself I can definitely say
IT IS ALL WORTH IT!!!!! YESSIREEE!!! FREEDOM FROM THAT DAMN GROUP IS SWEEEEEET!
Everyone is naive at some point in their lives. We were naive and trusting. Ok, so we spent a little too much time and gave too much money to a false religion. There are worse things in the world.
It does no good to moan about the losses and lost past.
Lets look to tomorrow and the future!
SWEET FREEDOM FROM FALSE HOPES AND FALSE GUILT! TIME TO EMBRACE THE WORLD AGAIN WITH ALL ITS TROUBLES AND TRY TO CONTRIBUTE AND HELP IT IN SOME WAY. THIS IS OUR DUTY AND COMMISSION AS CARING HUMANS.

I cannot believe they are a growing organization. They are a small group of people who are depressed about their own lives and life in general and who have given up and turned their backs on society as a whole.
Only the very fringe of society fall prey to cults and clubs who promise a eutopian brotherhood to the lost and lonely and weird (at the cost of their precious freedom of thought and action.)
Healthy minded people outright reject the message of the witnoids! -

Oompa booze is a BIG LIE!!!!!!
It is just like all the other scams out there. It promises you something but all it does is take your money and leave you intoxicated and crying like a baby "Boo hoo poor me!"
The booze is definitely part of the problem. Give up the booze and you will start to see what path to take to improve your life.
As jws we were taught not to get angry about things. But that scam worked to keep us pacified little zompbies for the GB and elders.
It is ok to get angry about the scam the society has pulled on you and your family and all of us!!!!
Getting drunk everyday will only make you look silly and a loser and helpless to fight the society's influence on your wife and kids.
Take command, take charge, be a hero to your sons. Show them what life is all about. Show them how to be a spiritual man, a man who loves God, but who is not some sucker for a scam religion. That kind of man takes life seriously and holds it precious and enjoys the great outdoors and takes care of his family and his own health and has fun.

I NEED TO VENT
by Cindi_67 infor the past weeks, i have gotten in touch with a lot of old high school classmates.
a lot of them i've found over the internet.
after reading their profiles and talking to them, to my surprise, a lot of them are professionals with degrees like doctors, engineers, business, etc.

Cindi, it is never too late to make changes in your life towards a happier life.
I too wasted a lot of time (35 years) in the kingdum hall. I gave up a concert music career
and having children.
When I got out of the society in 2001 I was a lost soul for awhile. But one step led to another towards freedom and now at 54 I have a new family in a new town, new husband, new job, and I am enrolled at our community college to pursue a new career in the medical field where I will double my income.
Mine is not a dream life by any means, but it is some kind of life-------better than the banishment and death the jws wish for me!

I set myself on fire!!!
by Bonnie_Clyde ini was wearing a cotton bathrobe this weekend and went to the gas stove to adjust the coffee pot.
suddenly there was a burst of flame on top part of my sleeve.
tore the bathrobe off, threw it to the floor, and stomped it out, although the fire caught on another part of the bathrobe and i had to keep stomping.

I met a woman alcoholic who did the same thing in her robe, but she was so drunk she passed out
without attending to her wounded arm.
When I visited her she was near to losing her arm from the severe burn and infection. (Her damaged liver could not help her heal) She was only 38.
While working at a retail store I met another woman, who stepped into the shower and got scalded, she fainted, and fell into the bath with the scalding water continuing to run on her.
She was rescued by her daughter who heard her fall into the tub.
Her scars were ghastly and her legs had to be amputated.
To this day: I think about the first woman every time I light my gas stove (and I never light the stove in a loose sleeved robe) and I think about the second poor woman every time I step into a shower.
