Confession, one other thing; I'm not too good with the whole "touchy/feely" thing but I wanted to say that from the time I've spent talking with you I just think you're an amazing person. Highly intelligent and very well spoken, I've felt very lucky I've had the chance to know you as a person and have you share some of your thoughts and ideas. I haven't been able yet to read most of your threads where you relate other experiences but I definitely plan on it and I have since our first meet up. I just feel really sad that your mom's losing out on time with you, I feel even worse that it hurts you so much.

YOUR DAILY JOURNAL
by compound complex indear friends,.
much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.
however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

Morning CoCo :) I've been dealing with family issues and wondering how many other witness families play needless 'mind games'. My little sister's pregnant and I'm very happy about that, but since she's a witness I wonder - will I ever even get to know the baby? With my parents and older sister pressuring her and everything I know it's only a matter of time, but I decided not let it bother me so much, whatever's going to happen will and I just need to accept that.
This was my post before on here and I hadn't updated anything because I wasn't sure. My sister had a little girl born Sept 29th- they named her Riley. I sent a couple baby outfits and a gift card, emailed her about a million times before realizing I wasn't going to ever get to see the pictures... -

Very touching post Confession.
Thank you, this was something I really needed to read tonight and I really appreciate you sharing it.
This part here especially:Perhaps, in reading the abundance of comments here, it is perceived that this is all we do. Granted, some contributors participate more than others. But the fact is, for the great majority of us, separating ourselves from the Watchtower Society has opened up a beautiful, new world for us. (Something far better than the "New System" illusion they love to paint.) But it's also true that, although I would never trade the freedom I now have for my family...it's still my family...

Tom's health advice
by TD inst. matthew attributes the following words to jesus:.
"when the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest and findeth none.
then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwelleth there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.".

If you don't know how to play a musical instrument, why not learn how? If you've never done volunteer work for a local charity, why not volunteer? If you don't know how to speak a foreign language why not learn one? If you don't know how to cook, or garden, or paint, why not learn? If you can't read the New Testament in it's orginal language, why not enroll in a class? If none of these things appeal to you, why not go through the course catalog at your local community college and find something that does?
Very good advice. I know most people, myself included feel that need to fill a void. Or just have something more positive to bring your spirits up...
Things are always much better when you have something you really enjoy going on in your life. -

Congrats on getting back to school and the nice job you did on your first assignment. That added perk you and your husband have in common sounds like a very nice bonus.

I used to but not really anymore unless someones posts remind me of someone.
Of course it'd be nice to one day see some of my family around here; but I never really look for them because I'd be very surprised to see them anytime soon.
