Thank you AndersonInfo for that last post. As one 'brought up in the Truth' it is very good to get a level headed comment from someone who 'came in' of their own accord. It helps to calm me down from my natural state of agitation and anger with all things JW.

1984 WT cover, 1914 Gen That Will Not Pass -- How many of 16 alive today?
by FatFreek 2005 inthose people on that cover were supposed to represent a group of people that would still live on into the new order.
in your best guess, how old were most of those 16 people at the time the photo was taken, and how many do you suppose are still alive today?.
remember, that wt was printed in 1984, nearly 27 years ago.

Am I wrong or would I have better chances for "Paradise earth" if I had never been exposed to the so called "Truth"?
by KristiKay ini was listening to a guy on youtube, (21 crosscheck 21) and i thought he brought up a pretty valid point.
he says jws should stop preaching immediatly because according to them if i've never heard the "truth" then god would read my heart and i would be resurrected and given the chance to live forever.
so basicly if some idiot knocks on my door trying to tell me the "good news" and for whatever reason i slam the door in their face, i've just condemed myself to eternal nothingness, but if they never came to the door in the first place, i'd be ok, or at least given the chance to pet lions forever?

I think you are correct. Strictly speaking you'd be better off having never being witnessed to.

He has delegated some authority to us, a faithful slave class. We, in turn, appoint overseers in the Christian congregation.
Hence, we are "faithful," never betraying or abandoning Jehovah, Jesus, Bible truths, or God's people. Being "discreet," we show good judgement in directing the all-important work of preaching the "good news of the kingdom" and making "disciples of people of all the nations." "At the proper time," we obediently distribute spiritual food that is wholesome and nourishing.
How can you show that you appreciate God's guidance? The apostle Paul said: "Be obedient to us who are taking the lead among you and be submissive."
How, then, do you react when you receive divine direction? Do you try to apply it "right afterward"? Or do you continue doing things just as you have been accustomed to doing them? Are you familiar with up-to-date directions, such as those regarding conducting home Bible studies, preaching to foreign speaking people, regularly sharing in family worship, cooperating with Hospital Liaison Committees, and conducting yourselves
properly at conventions? You also show your appreciation for God's guidance by accepting counsel. When faced with far-reaching decisions, you do not trust in your own wisdom but look to Jehovah and us for guidance.

Last article.
''Are you allowing God's spirit to lead you?''
''For example, keeping the computer in an open area can serve as a protection. Some find it best to use the computer or watch television only when others are present. Others have decided not to have access to the Internet.'' (bolds mine)

''I cannot keep a secret this heavy from the person I love most on this earth''
Good for you. I think you'll feel a lot better now whatever the outcome.
I have a similar binder but when I spoke to my parents they wouldn't look at it, but they did listen to what I had to say and it was the best thing I did.
Congratulations.
I only wish more people did the same thing.

Hi,
I'm not sure that it is actually a cash balance though. Does it represent total assets including potential value of the buildings too?
I did a similar posting and I thought same as you at first but now not so sure.
Thanks

Arizona massacre -- Where does JW line of self defense get crossed?
by FatFreek 2005 injehovah's witnesses are peaceful folks, just ask them.
having been one till many years ago i used to know the stock answers to questions about that fine line between being peaceable and defending oneself.. this came to front and center during the past several days with that horrific arizona shooting where some 7 folks have lost their lives.
it could have been more if it weren't for several onlookers ganging up on the perpetrator after he emptied the first magazine of bullets, getting ready for his spare magazine.. these onlookers instinctively became aggressive and restrained the perpetrator, one of them choking the man when needed, etc., and etc.. heroes, all of them, in my opinion.. none of them remained passive, thinking that this man wasn't really a threat to them personally so why get involved.

Doesn't answer the question specifically but take a look at this,

I was walking my dog and JWs told me about some good news!
by moshe inwell, it was a nice morning to take my dog for a walk and about a mile from my home i met a car load of jws working the condos.
two brothers hit on me before they went back to their car.
apparently they hadn't been able to talk to anyone this morning -10:30am, so they were eager to find a stooge who would listen to them.. i immediately decided i wouldn't talk about their doctrine, so i jumped on the flood of noah after they got the intros out of the way.

Thank you Moshe.
A Sphere is not a Circle said
''your the type of call that I hated getting out in service, you could so easily rip us to shreds and we had to limp back to our car group and lick our wounds and be reassured by the others that we are right and you are wrong and your gonna find out at armegeddon.
But your also the type of call that I would never forget.''
I cannot agree more. I was only talking about this the other day with my wife. Of all the thousands of people I called on in the years of door knocking, only a few calls stand out in my memory. They were all negative to the 'Truth'. One was an atheist that the regular pioneer I was working with didn't stand a chance with, one was a 'born again' Christian who tied us up in knots and another were a quiet older couple who meekly said they couldn't understand how JW's felt that they alone knew all the answers. I was silently agreeing.
These calls made a lasting impression on me as I still remember them but don't remember any 'good calls'
Keep it up Moshe.

Percentage of NFL players with goatees. Typical of the USA?
by ThomasCovenant inare goatees very, very popular at the moment in the usa?
because whenever i watch the nfl here in blighty i see that about 80% of the players have goatees and about 95% have either a goatee, a tash, or a full beard.. is it to make the helmet chin strap more comfortable?.
or are they at the cutting edge of today's male grooming fashion?.
