  Everything mentioned so far, and also what new bullshit light they can come up with in the next couple of years or so to keep most of the flock from straying, as it's soon going to be pretty obvious to even the most diehard dub that the events leading up to armageddon aren't happening, and don't look like happening anytime soon.

  i was looking for something today and ran across this list.

  a po passed these out in service meeting....many years ago.

  (you can tell as no mention of internet is there) i do remember seeing this and feeling overwhelmed just reading it.

  We never had such a list, but everything on it must have been mentioned many times, especially these two:

  25. Increase financial contributions to the KH

  26 Send more financial contributions directly to the society.

  Any to do list for jws would seem incomplete without those two.

  if you've already been 'announced' and were at the kingdom hall to hear it, how did it feel?

  i think when my time comes i may be there.

  a part of me says "sod 'em", but another part wants them to see how happy i am.. hmmm, not sure..

  No I wasn't present for my announcement. I had been fading for over 5 years when the elders decided to visit me, why I really don't know, and decided to da by writing a letter to the UK hq, thus going over their heads, which pissed them off somewhat. I had decided long before then that I would never set foot in a kingdom hall again, not even for the pleasure of hearing that I was no longer one of jehovahs witnesses.

  What really made you exit the Jw's

  i know its a question that has been asked a thousand times, but what really made you exit the jws .. for instance, my wife and i, having found out about the u.n., 607bce, failed prophecies etc.

  gave all this information to my wifes brother, along with many so called friends.

  we came out but the brother and friends stayed in.. the only reasoning i can put on it, is that we made an effort to find out for ourselves what was the real truth, the others were told and given written evidence - but still didnt make a decision.

  It wasn't a really big issue for me, just several relatively minor incidents that made me wonder if it was really the truth, and start to seriously investigate my beliefs without the aid of wts publications. That led to more doubts, and I decided to read Crisis of Conscience. Once I'd done that, I knew the jws weren't the real deal, so I left them.

  as many of you know by now - i do not tolerate 'shunners'.

  i have done no evil, killed no one, never raped or pillaged any witnesses.

  i do not tolerate small-minded witnesses who called me 'brother' for most of 40 years, now acting as if i am no better than sh*t on the bottom of their shoes.
