  i have to be sort of careful here because i have a feeling my younger brother, who is an active jw may lurk here.

  not that i really care what he thinks, but he could make it very difficult for our elderly mom with her cong.

  he lives in another state but it would not bother him in the least to call her or her elders to "warn" them of my now apostate status.

  i was talking to my trying-to-exit-the-cult fraternal twin brother yesterday about life, the jehovah's witness cult, and our jw parents.. he repeated, calmly and succintly, that he hates our parents.

  i could not argue with him.

  i used to, being a parent myself.

  My mother, who is clearly not well herself, and is known by many as the "bitch" of the circuit has told me that I criticize the Watchtower because I am mentally ill. That if only I could get on meds I'd be a happy worshipper of Jehovah again. I tell her that my problem with the Watchtower is informational, not mental. I told her that the two of us should go together for a psychiatric analysis and I bet she walks out with more meds than me, if they let her leave at all.

  I think you are right there, you'd be the more likely one to be allowed to leave

  Notes: Friday District Convention - Follow the Anointed Who Follow Christ

  today was the first day of three for this year's "follow the christ" district convention.. for the first time in as many years as i can go back, the theme of this program was jesus christ.. most of the program was ok. the talks considered jesus, his life and his works.

  there was nothing about the talks that i considered insulting or controlling.. could this be it?

  could the society really be going jesus-centric?.

  I think the new release is a book about Jesus, haven't seen it yet.

  It is about jesus, apparently, and is called "Come, Be My Follower", a 192
  page paperback. The only thing "new" about it will be the title, of course.
  The content will be the same old recycled, repackaged crap.

  i read somewhere on the pbs site that someone (can't remember who) said there could be millions of ex-jws.

  is there any possible way to confirm just how many of us there are?

  i responce to this post .

  i'll start it off, then someone else give them a different challenge if you can think of any.. please give definitive examples that by evolution, a species has changed into something else.

  give two separate findings by scientists, and it can't include any comments like "so we believe", "so we conclude that", or "the evidence shows that there could have been".....the wts has those copyrighted.. try and give un-doctored photographic proof, where possible, etc.
