Phil,
The point is that WT WAS listed as an NGO for 10 years. This fact will always apply.

i just don?t understand why.
once again i was asked a question that i could not answer.

The December 15 th 2003 Watchtower is still telling the R&F that they don?t need an education. In Paragraph 17 of the second study article Prove Yourself ready for Jehovah?s Day, the following statement is made:
Anxiety may also be brought on by materialistic pursuits. For example, some complicate their lives by living beyond their means. Others have been enticed by get-rich quick schemes and risky investments. For others, secular education as a means to attain financial success becomes a snare. Granted, a certain level of schooling may be useful to obtain employment. However the truth is that in the time-consuming pursuit of obtaining advanced education, some have harmed themselves spiritually. What a dangerous situation to be in as the day of Jehovah nears! The bible warns:? Those who are determined to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and many senseless and hurtful desires, which plunge men into destruction and ruin?- 1 Timothy 6:9.
ok, no one seemed to notice, but the annual general meeting came and went around october 4th i think.. did anyone go, know anyone that went, or know what may have been discussed?.

The following snippets are being passed via Private E-mail. I don't know how accurate it is.
2004 Year Text:
"Keep on the watch, . . . . . . Prove yourselves ready," Matthew 24:42, 44
Brother John Barr pointed out in his talk, even among us there is NOT A SENSE OF READINESS, as some are side-tracked by the lures of this system of things. He spoke about no one knowing the day or the hour, only the Father (Matthew 24:36). Therefore the admonition to be ready at anytime or any day. He emphasized that in Noah's day they took no note.
There has been a good response to the visitation program for inactive ones done by the elders this past spring. In the USA alone 15,000 were reactivated, and soon there will be a new program to expand this help even further.
One sister who was baptized when she was 12 years old, lost contact with the "truth" when both her parents were killed in an accident. 60 years later she was re-contacted and reactivated and is faithfully serving Jehovah again.
Brother Samuel Herd stressed the need to keep looking forward (not behind) to the things before us. Otherwise we will get caught by this old system.
i thought you would enjoy this gem from the archives.
james - enjoy.
jehovah?s witnesses, in their eagerness for jesus?
1974 "Yes, the end of this system is so very near! Is that not reason to increase our activity?...Reports are heard of brothers selling their homes and property and planning to finish out the rest of their days in this old system in the pioneer service. Certainly this is a fine way to spend the short time remaining before the wicked world's end." (Kingdom Ministry, May 1974, p. 3)
i just shared some good news with a jw who i considered a good friend in and out.

Tiffany,
Check your Private messages.
it has been a good (7) weeks since i've last attended a kh meeting.
this weekend, however, the calls of "encouragement" came rolling in.
on saturday, a brother (actually a very decent, likable, and genuine man) left me a message and said that he misses me at the meetings.
Brian,
This thread about the special assembly day which was posted by truthseeker might explain why people are calling you.
lately, we've gotten together with my wife's family and their friends.
my wife has brought up that we're no longer going to meetings and "practicing" the religion.
i find it very refreshing to explain reasons why i do not support jehovah's witnesses, as a religion.
Minimus,
I too have been telling people why I don't go any more and I agree "it Is very liberating."
I would love to be able to tell witnesses but "they never ask me "Why?"
good morning everybody:.
i have been doing some more investigating, and found that the reason that k-mart is closing down, is because the watchtower has opened it's doors.
for those that haven't seen this web, it is truely a mind blower.
Hi Millenium,
Welcome to the board.
they provide free literature for thier over 6 million members
I know of a case where the congregation did not send in enough money for their literature and Society did NOT send them ANY literature the next month. So their literature is NOT free
if you'd be interested in donating $us10.00 or anything at all to a campaign fund for vicki please say so here.

i'm willing to donate $us10.00 to the fund.. thanks.. dansk
