  my parent's came to visit me this weekend.

  i decided to start a conversation with my mom about jw's and why i don't go anymore.

  I realize that. However, that is intangible and I can't prove that to my mother. My mother has been in the troof for over 25 years. My father was an elder but stepped down for medical reasons. Now that he is feeling better, it is only a matter of time that he is an elder again. I am hoping that just the fact that they were members will be "food for thought".

  I mentioned that the mags are stilled charged for in other countries and her reply was well if the legal loophole is there, why shouldn't they use it?!!! I didn't realize I was raised by such unethical people...

  As you might suspect. My mother had NEVER heard about this before. It was never mentioned. I'm not going to get my hopes up too much because I think she will just rationalize it away especially since they are no longer members.

  You will not believe this!!!

  My parent's came to visit me this weekend. I decided to start a conversation with my mom about JW's and why I don't go anymore. I brought up the UN scandal. She vehemently denied it. I said it was part of public record and she relented and said ok maybe they were member without knowing about it. WTF??? I said I don't think that is possible. So I asked her if it mattered to her if they were or not. She said, "well I would like to know". My heart jumped for joy. I told her I would get her the information. A few minutes later she said, "don't mail the info to me I'll look at it when I come back." She doesn't want to start and argument with my dad (that would be a bad scene). That actually made me even happier because she was continually thinking about it. Here is where you guys come in...

  I need the physical proof of when the WTBTS became member, when they left. I need it all. If it is available on the internet it has to be from a UN source otherwise she will disregard it. Any suggustions?

  I married my first love. Three children later and a few bumps, we are still very happily married. It was the best thing I every did.

  Would you buy a new car on a 60 month loan?

  i have never done a 60 month loan and i have sworn i never would... but with how much cars are costing these days i'm wondering if i will have to do a 60 month loan on my next car.

  that is five frigg'in years!

  i paid cash for my last car ($4,500 - 1999 ford contour se, used) so i had no payments to make.

  Sh*t that sucks. I feel for his family. My sympathies go out to them.

  Acadian ~ it is men like this and my husband who are willing to sacrifice their lives so you can have the freedom to spout drivle.

  Vaginal Birth or Cesarean Section

  to all the mommy's out there...did you deliver vaginally or by c-section?.

  i was fortunate enough to deliver both my children vaginally although i came close to a c-section with my son.

  he was in the posterier position.

  All three of our children were born vaginally.

  1st girl 7lbs. 10 oz. ~ 5 hours. No medication. Went into labor late at night on the due date, she was born the next morning.

  2nd boy 8 lbs. 10 oz. ~ 6 hours. No medication. He was born 10 days before his due date (I was sick of being pregnant so I helped it along). The doctor had to turn him (he was also posterior - major back labor) during one of my contractions and his collar bone broke coming out.

  3rd boy 8 lbs. 15 oz ~ 10 hours. I was induced 15 days early because we knew it was going to be a big baby and didn't want a repeat of the broken collar bone. I thought I would again be able to do the no medication route. I got to 5 cm and was in so much pain that I couldn't think. It was horrible. I had a spinal and the pain went away. When the effects started wearing off, it was time to push and a few pushes later out came our little munchkin. When I was in labor with our last child I was in so much pain and I couldn't figure out why it hurt so bad since my other two deliveries were relatively easy. I was just blabbering incoherantly and told my husband that I thought it was because we weren't JW's anymore - that was the only difference I could think of between my other children's delivery and this one. Thankfully, the nurse pointed out that I was 10 years older than the last time I delivered and my body wasn't ready to be in labor being induced an all. We might have had to go back...

  Your high school teachers, good or bad memories?

  going back to the days of your high (secondary) school what sort of memories do you have of your teachers?

  were they competent in teaching and caring about you personally or were they inept, rude and indifferent?

  if you met them today how would you feel and react towards them?

  My high school english teacher was the best. I remember one day trying to get her attention and instead of saying, "Ms. Rose", I said, "Mom". She was awesome. It is because of her that I love the English language with all of its quirks.
