what a wonderful response i have received from my last (which was my first post) post from everyone here.

the one thing that was drilled into my head was that you can not trust anyone that is not a jw.

i had only one worldly friend since high school and she has been there for me thru everything.

i'm worried because i sent a christmas card plus had a gift sent by ups over the internet about 7 days ago and haven't heard anything.

i would feel really feel bad if my person didin't receive their gift or card.

wonder why certain garments are referred to in the plural, pants, underwear, trousers?

why not a pair of shirts?

"i put on a fresh pair of shirts this morning" or why not say "i spilled coffee on my pant and i need to change it".

This is all very interesting and all but what I want to know is: Why does the washing machine always eat only one sock in each pair? Very annoying.

false reasoning: the wts claims that there are only two birthdays mentioned in the bible, both of which resulted in someone being killed.

thus, they conclude, that this is jehovah's way of telling us that we should not celebrate brithdays, including the birth of jesus christ.. fact: there are five birthdays mentioned in the bible.

the most important and celebrated is the birth of jesus christ himself.

Its origins are far from Christian.

Good point... And Christ wasn't born on Christmas day. Not that I have anything against celebrating Christmas, but it doesn't seem like a true rememberance of Christ's birth when it's on the wrong day.

My Baby Boy

his class is at the children's museum.

Kids are such a blessing. Joshua sounds absolutely adorable!

When my son was in about 5th grade, he had to write an essay at school about his most precious possession. He wrote that his most precious possession was his Mom.

I found the essay and have saved it. He never showed it to me.... I still get all teary-eyed when I think about it!

Ever since I can remember, I tried and tried to love God. I tried to get him to love me. I prayed and never, ever, ever got an answer. I always prayed for his will.... I guess his will was to ignore me.

When I left the JWs, I tried it all again. Prayed for help, for understanding... I prayed that he would let me know what he wanted me to do. Well, several years later and I'm still in a vacuum. I'm soooo happy to be out of the WT, but I'm still extremely conflicted about what I believe. I believe God exists, but that's about it.

I'm starting over, too, and it's hard. I'm now learning to just have an open mind, and to listen to all kinds of viewpoints, even ones I'd never have considered while I was a JW. I've realized that I don't have to decide anything, or 'be' anything, at least not right now. Just be.
