  we woke up to a beautiful dusting of snow and lots of time to just chill and go play today.

  where we live is a very *new agey*, *earthy* area.

  when i was a witness i never thought twice about my astrological sign or how it relates to anyone else.

  here, people are always asking what my sign is and i've really been entertained by how i see patterns with people in my life and how i've noticed i'm actually attracted to certain *signs* .

  Tell Me, Why Do JWs Suck To You???

  what reasons do you have about why the witness religion is so crummy?.

  one main reason is that they say "we have the truth.

  they are liars.

  Funny you should ask.... (and how much time have you got??????)

  They break up families in the name of God, when it's all BS.

  The break up friendships in the name of God, when it's all BS.

  They refuse to allow their members freedom of thought to question anything they say.

  They trick children (as young as 6) into getting baptized, which then seals their fate. Obey us, or lose everything.

  The families they don't manage to break up have their family time stolen by meetings, assemblies, field service, elders meetings, shepherding calls, preparing for meetings, writing parts for meetings, etc, etc, etc. Example... My husband went in service today from 9am-1pm. Came home, ate a sandwich, and left again at 1.30pm for an elders meeting, which will be over around 4pm.... then they'll chat... he'll be home around 4.45pm, I'm guessing. And when I told him that we were invited out to my dad's for dinner, his reply was, I don't have time for that!! (insert screaming smiley here)

  I can't imagine the number of lives they've ruined.

  Anything else you wanna know????

  If You've Faded, Do You Still Consider Yourself a Dub?

  i've been thinking about this a lot, because i've chosen to fade and i would never refer to myself as a jdub, but i've read postings from others who do.

  i would have written a letter a year ago but i've got older parents who are upset enough about me just not attending.

  on another thread someone is also leaving and they were advised to tell the jc to do whatever, to not acknowledge that they have any authority.

  I do NOT consider myself a JW anymore. I'm sure that the congretation and my JW friends (the ones who still talk to me) think that I'll be back to the KH one day. There is not a snowball's chance in Hades of that happening.

  but for a very good unexpected reason, i had to venture out for a few minutes.

  I think rolling down the window to ask if she needed help, or simply calling 911 and reporting a stranded motorist like MsMcDucket said, would be the best thing. If I was stranded alone in my car (with a cell phone) it would scare me to have a man I didn't know stop.

  Sad but true... the world is a mess... The end must be just around the corner...
