It seems that the big thread revealing this whole scandal has been locked.
This was one comment on the last post:
Lock down all threads with this nonsense on it. Don't give him what he wants.
I'm sorry, and I don't mean to offend anyone, but who cares what he wants??!!? Or whether or not he gets it?? This site is all about the "real" posters, with real problems and feelings. Many of us have trust issues stemming from our WT days, or our leaving the WT, and now we've just been duped by a wack-job when we finally thought we could trust again.
We need to talk about it, and as a fader with my husband still in, I can't just pick up the phone and discuss this with someone. I haven't said much on these threads, but reading all the exchanges is putting the pieces right in my mind, I feel.
I hope all these threads don't get locked.

Is there a "CD" button? On our stereo (also equipped with about 100 remote controls with about 45,000 buttons each), you have to push the button that says "CD" or else the CD won't play. Same goes for FM, sound for the TV, sound for the DVD....

This whole thing has me fuming!!
My husband is an elder, and I'm sure he'll attend. So we are expected to pay airfare, lost wages, and other expenses so he can fly there and get his ego boosted?? We have a ton of other expenses that we need to pay!!
I'm already mad about all the money he spends driving in service (he ALWAYS drives), back and forth to meetings, new suits and shirts, less time at home and with the family.... And now he's going to be going away for a week!! I'm so mad...

Anyone live in the country or have a mini farm?
by BrentR init seems alot of members here live in the burbs or city so i was wondering who else besides me lives on acreage or rural areas?
i live on eight acres at the base of the cascade foothills.
a half mile away the power lines stop and the old logging roads start.

Well, at the moment we live on the typical postage stamp lot with a beautiful house and neighbors close on either side. But our last house was in the perfect setting... close to town, but far from anyone else. We had a huge garden, I grew all kinds of veggies in the summer and even had a greenhouse to extend the season and grow some things that wouldn't otherwise grow in our climate. Our closest neighbor had hens, and the little daughter would come walking down the gravel road with a basket of eggs once a week for us. We had two huge plum trees and apple trees, and we made wine and preserves... Picked wild raspberries and blueberries and made jam... The last year we lived there, we went to a nearby farm and picked up a trailer full of manure which we dumped in our garden to decay all winter and spring.... You should have seen the size of my strawberries and carrots the following year!
I'd love to post pictures but I can't.... The view from my front porch was breathtaking, though. You'll have to trust me on that...

Well, Trev is ill now!
by iamfreenow inat least i don't think so.. he has a flu-like illness and feels pretty awful.
by his own admission, he's been neglecting himself these last few months, and i think with all the stres he's been under that perhaps his immune system is very low.
he looks pretty awful as well, like he's had all the blood drained out of him.. even so, he was going to get on with the things he needs to do today, at least until i intervened.

Poor Trev (((((hugs))))) But I really think it's his body telling him he needs a rest. His mind won't listen, so his body shuts down and makes him listen. It's happened to me... I get thru the crisis just fine, and afterwords I fall apart.
I'm so glad you are all there for him to take care of him during this terrible time. Don't forget to take care of each other, too. You're mourning a loss yourselves.
