Can someone explain to us computer illiterate people how to post a picture? I think the candle idea is a good one, too, and I'd love to do that, but I've never posted a picture on here. I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't know how....

Heart broken yet again

my husband asked me this morning, "did your parents not want to do something with you yesterday since it was your birthday?

my birthday is monday.. i told him this and he said he thought he had forgotten.

i guess i should let it go because i know who i married, but it still hurts.

Why don't you try reminding him a week ahead of time? Remind him every day... "Getting close to my birthday, have you gotten me a present yet???" *huge grin*

I don't know what it is about men, if they forget dates because they don't care, because they don't think they are important, or because they don't realize how important remembering is to the women in their lives. Before you feel broken hearted about him forgetting, give him every opportunity to remember. If he still does nothing, then you can get mad at him and not feel guilty about it!

Update: Last Nights Meeting

first of all i would like to think everyone for the support i recieved yesterday.

i would also like to shed some light on my past, hopefully this does not give it away as to who i might be.

my wife and i were both raised as jw, we were both baptized when were fifteen years old.

I'm so sorry you're going through this.

I agree with the posters who say your wife is in shock right now. She knows you well and suddenly you are a different person than she's known her whole life. She can't predict what you will say and do in any given situation, because you can now think for yourself and don't respond according to WT policy at all times. That must be scary, especially to a person deeply affected by a mind-controlling religion.

Hopefully she will come around and realize that you still care about your children and her, and that will count for something. In the meantime, stick around here and vent all you need to.

for me, in the morning 2 cups of coffee with cream...i can't imagine starting my day without jwd....from there i go to my email and then cnn and msnbc.....late in the evening it's usually some popcorn and jwd once again....anyone else?

Could someone please explain the new "light"on the"generation" .

i just don't understand what the new teaching is.. i understood pre and post 1995 but haven't been able to get the gist of the latest.. could someone please explain it so a low intellect like me can understand, please, please.. and thank you,.

I'm really curious where they are going with this.

They are going to try to dig themselves out of the hole they've put themselves in. By saying that the number of annointed was not sealed in 1935, they can keep adding more annointed ones. The end is permanantly close!

I think they will try to replace the 1914 doctorine with this new light on the new annointed. It keeps the flock focused on the present, on today, instead of counting years from 1914 and trying to figure out how long a human being can possibly live.
