Many thanks to Simon!
by Elsewhere in.
if it were not for all of the very hard work that simon does behind the scenes to keep this forum up, much of the other work others are doing could never have happened.. this site serves as an excellent central location for us all to communicate and exchange thoughts and ideas about how to expose the evil ways of the wts.. simon, thank you very much!

A GREAT BIG "THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" - PLUS UPDATE
by Dansk indear all,.
i thought i'd best make a new thread rather than add my message to the vigil thread, for example, as it might not otherwise get noticed.. yesterday afternoon i was allowed home from the hospital - but only until wednesday morning!
as many of you will know, i have been in christie cancer hospital in manchester, england, ready to undergo a stem cell transplant (in my case, stem cells taken from my blood to be returned later).

Sorry about the blank post - something devoured the text and wouldn't let me edit the post. I hope this one registers.
Keep positive Ian - you and your family have touched the hearts of many.
In prayer and thought as you start the treatment.
Be well! -

...but Jesus said the truth would divide families!!!!
by ithinkisee in.
what is that scripture?.
what is your response to the claim that the truth would divide families?.
-

I've always understood those scriptures to mean that there would be disputes - within Jewish families - when a member or members received the apostles' words ('whoever receives you, receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me') and believed that Jesus spoke 'truth' / that Jesus was 'the way, the truth and the life' / that Jesus was the 'word' of God / had the words of everlasting life etc etc - in contrast to other family members who did not accept Jesus' teachings and insight and wished to hold to their traditional Judaic beliefs.

This may be my last postÂ…so goodbye and thanks
by seven006 ini never thought i would do one of those infamous goodbye i cant take this board anymore posts where the person shows up again a week later and looks like an idiot.
when i had enough of this board and needed a little break i would just quietly leave for a few months and hopefully nobody noticed.
that is not the case this time.

So sorry to hear about the MS and the difficulties it is causing. Anyone unaware of your situation would never guess from what you write.
Will be watching out for your return and remission.
Take care. -

I experienced a Jewish Shabbat Service tonight!
by Billygoat inmy very best friend, casey, is a member of a local baptist church.
her church is similar to mine, known to be a very liberal baptist church, holding very loosely to the "baptist traditions" and holding more tightly to the life of christ and his example set for us.
the other day she invited me to an interfaith shabbat service held at a reformed jewish temple.

Thank you for sharing such a positive experience and two of your favourite verses, Andi:
Philippians 4:6, 7: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. -
