  Is this a stretch?

  i was thinking today about the warnings th wbts gives publishers about not buying used articles especially from people or stores run by religious organizations.

  their concern that any item purchased may be demonized made me wonder if the reverse could be true.

  if a loyal witness happened to have, say a garage sale, or they donated something to a thrift store, or some similar situation, i was wondering if the purchaser of that same article might have their mind and/or heart opened, and accept a jw bible study, or maybe just have their life affected for the better.

  Talk: JWs are not go to a gym???

  i remember just a few short years back at my old congregation, there were a few younger brothers and sisters joining gyms and going to work out.

  well, i guess the elders found out that everyone's free time wasn't being spent pioneering, so a talk (down to) was given one sunday on "not letting worldy pursuits take your eyes off the prize" or some shit like that.

  the whole talk was about how we should devote all time to the wts and field service, and that going to or belong to a gym was just a worldly pursuit and that it was just making or bodies "showy".

  lately, my mother keeps talking about how so many are appreciative of the "faithful & discreet slave class".

  we got into a discussion that prompted me to tell her that there is no such thing as the faithful slave class and that it was all an invention of rutherford because the first "faithful slave" was dead.

  so now everthing is a slave.

  i think the elderly have enough pressure facing them....to leave or "betray" some thing they have given their life and heart to,,in my opinion,,would just be way too much emotionally...think how hard it is for younger ones and what they go through...'CAN YOU JUST IMMAGINE ALL THE GUILT THEY WOULD BE GIVEN"...let them believe what they want and love them for who they are...accept them 100%....when they are gone,,you will be so glad you did...

  Living in a dangerous world

  a few years ago, i watched a tv program saying that nuclear bombs were missing from the former soviet union's arsenal.

  they call them suitcase bombs, since they can fit in a suitcase or backpack.

  today, i read an article that stated the same thing, but they are quit sure now that bin laden has a few of these in his possession.

  I am Closing my Email Account

  i am closing my email account listed on this site.

  somebody has been trying to send me viruses via the account addy but so far i have been savvy and they haven't been able to cause damage.

  fortunately for me, i have 3 other email accounts.
