  yep i took lots of heat from valis for worrying about my pain threshold but i went down today during meeting time and got my first tat.

  it's a hawaiian tribal turtle.

  it wasn't painful at all, maybe because of the location but it did burn a bit.

  when a problem arises, elders are supposed to be there.

  visiting in homes was something the organization always stressed.

  my group, sons of liberty riders, is having its annual meeting/party in little rock, arkansas this coming weekend.

  i will be leaving phoenix and heading up thru flagstaff to 40, then east on 40 to arkansas.

  I'm Back...and living in Las Vegas!

  well, i have been living in las vegas for a week and a half now.

  the drive from houston to vegas was hard.

  it took me two days to get here, but thankfully my dad came with me and he was able to help me drive.

  marilyn (from the why-1914 helpline) made it through her quadruple bypass surgery and is doing well.

  mulan and i are off to the "happiest place on earth", disneyland.

  How to help a friend?

  well after over 100 posts this is my first thread.

  but i thought that this subject was important enough to start a topic and i hope some of you will be able to give me some good advice.. to set the scene: a very close friend of mine is a nurse training to be an anaesthetist.

  he recently had a jw call on him and he'd invited him in and they'd discussed the blood issue.

  your ass is grass reguardless of what happens...either way you lose....he becomes a jw and he

  will turn on you....he doesn't become interested,,,and the elders get you...."sigh"

  going on to the internet, and searching ' jehovah's witnesses' led me to this board, (among others).

  searcher,,,,please do not feel this way....everybody has their
  personalities,,,,some times,,,it just takes awhile...everybody here is
  real nice,,,,go into chat,,,and just say how you are feeling!!

  express that you are lonely or just want to talk,,,,nobody will ever
  turn you away....there are very nice people here....try to give it
  another chance....

  it could be that nobody knew you wanted to visit...some times people
  just follow along...i have done that...

  stick around,,,you might be surprized at what you uncover...

  are any of you doing christmas or thanksgiving?.

  i do, but i have to be so careful, incase any jw family would happen to drop by.

  "thanks giving"

  people are not really thankful,,,they just want a day off...they use this
  day for gluttony,,,drunkeness,,,worldily activities such as sports and
  violence...

  once a year people give thanks to god,,,,you should be thankful every day!!

  this is the basic witness thinking...it is no wonder that people suffer
  from depression...my god,,,EVERYTHING is evil, everyone is evil,,,there
  is nothing that is not a sin..."SHUDDER"
