The greatest man book was enjoyable.
I couldn't stand the Isaiah books until I started to actually apply the information to the organization. Then they weren't so bad, it kind of made it fun.

Dang, BecauseImbroken, what an amazing story. I hope that you will get to have a relationship with your child and that she will relent, at least some.
when I was in Georgia, her and I were the only ones who didn't lead the cleanest lives if you catch my drift.
I have to argue with this though. You probably just didn't know them well enough. I have yet to meet that many witness kids that don't live a double life and I had been a witness my entire life. So, don't be too hard on yourself they just haven't gotten caught yet or they are elders kids.

they are all fine.
his wife heard something in a skylight she said, and got up, called to steve and he found the roof engulfed in flames.

It is sad to see all of their hard work burned down like that. Fortunately, they all got out safe. Things can be replaced people can't. My thoughts are with you and your family.
Hopefully, they will get a really large insurance settlement.

JW Marriages - Loophole in wedding vows
by Finally-Free innot being raised as a jw, i went to many church weddings, mostly in catholic churches.
all the times i went to jw weddings i thought it unusual that they had their own vows, much different from the wedding vows used elsewhere.
i remembered jws mentioning "divine temination" of marriages to me and thought the vows reflected that thought.

I don't think that it is a loop hole either. But there are loop holes. Like "Spiritual Endangerment", my x-brother-in-law used it on my sister as the reason why he left her.

I don't plan on going to the convention unless it is to drop a gag briefcase filled with the gag checks. haha.
But it is rather sickening to know that when I was baptized they did it in the name of the WBTS. Someone ought to tell them that that is what they are doing when they answer yes to those two questions.

Another change?
by Lo-ru-hamah injust recently my husband was visiting with a friend of ours, who still has some witness connections and is dfed.
he said that his mother and other witness family members have called him.
they said that the society is now encouraging ones with dfed or inactive family members to call them an encourage them to come back.

Hey, watch the language!
by cyberguy inive used many expletives in my life, especially when ive hit my finger with a hammer!
however, ive seen some words and expressions used recently on this board that should be edited-out in my humble opinion!
okay, if you absolutely need to use a curse word, just put the first letter then some ***.

I do my fair share of swearing and I have on occasion sworn on this board. Especially when someone makes a deal out of it. Then I want to really swear. IMHO, I think the bigger deal you make of it, the more people do it. It is like saying "Don't touch that" all you want to do is touch it. You ask someone not to swear and the first reaction you get is someone swearing.
Also, I have noticed that since leaving the organization I swear more than I ever did. I think it is a sort of rebellion. And I think that there are far worse things for me to do.
Sorry if in the past my swearing has been offensive.
Another thing, can someone tell me what the "C" word is. I think I know but not for sure.
