Doesn't matter because as of July, Rutherford is no longer part of the FDS.
Only the FDS has a special relationship with Jehovah. See? Problem Solved!
rutherford wrote the booklet of that name in 1920. is that definitively a false prophecy yet?
even if everyone who was alive in 1920 survived armageddon, if it was to come today, would that amount to millions of people?
according to wikipedia there are 316,600 people who are a 100 years old or older.

the only reason i am posting this is because i know many of you are going or will be going through something similar and wonder if it is worth it.
i personally feel that it is worth it regardless of what i lose.
my wife is backing me and i have my children.
I particularly enjoyed the part where she describes apostates as "intelligent".
Maybe that's why they left?
so my mum excitedly calls and tells me how the brothers are now told to pack a survival emergency bag, so the tribulation is coming!!!
talk about clutching at straws.
shes packed her bible of course and the some non essential stuff like food...he he.
I bet my disaster bag with an AR-15 gathers a multitude of JW and Mormon prepping material in the event of end times.
the irony is so thick you can cut a knife with it.
the watchtower must have some real cognitive dissonance.
read it for your self:.
Magwitch...
Keep the context of this in mind. This is their attempt to cater to the cultures in which their growth potential lies. S. America, Asia, Africa, in-laws play a very important part in the family unit in those places, and this would raise certain outrage there. This is what they are trying to demonstrate. We don't get it here.
The US and Western culture is old and busted in JW land.
a lot of the rank and file at the meetings seem to think some of the changes make more sense but what is the most damning of the changes that may help to wake to some up.
some thing the rank and file will not first see or understand as a big deal?.
I disagree with the FDS issue since nobody seemed to know who the FDS was prior to the change. If I remember correctly, the FDS seemed to change every few months or so!
there was a convicted murderer that became jw in my old congregation.
actually he committed manslaughter, he killed another guy in a bar fight.
i think he served 15 years in prison.
Charles Pearce: Elder in Pensacola, Florida. Originally charged as a kiddy diddler (possibility of life sentence), he pled down to "only" cruelty and abuse. The statement given by the victim was heart breaking!

as a kid i didn't care about living forever since getting old and dying was a far away and an uncomprehendable eventuality.
i wanted to be around, near and with wild animals...all animals and to this day, i wish somehow they could be a part of my life.
when i see stuff like this, i still hope somehow it will be a reality someday.
They told me it was Safety Dancing 24/7...

Witnesses are the ones who shock me.
They claim to not be part of the world, but they consistantly make the same (or worse) errors that worldly folks do.
GO!!!!!!!
that article about jehovah's witnesses having the lowest retention rate for born ins keeps popping up every now again ... i'm just curious if any of you have noticed that this is actually the case.
in the congregation that i grew up in, i'm going to say that 95% of the young people in their teens to mid twenties are either regular pioneering, regular auxiliary pioneering, serving in foreign language congregations or where the need is greater.
both of my younger sisters are regular pioneers - and the young people in their hall even organize 8 pm to midnight service on friday nights of their own accord.
From my observations, more than 50% of born-ins are "out" by their 20s, or never get baptized. Maybe they come back, but probably not.
