  Does anybody remember that odd show called Twin Peaks? Your dream sounded like it came straight out of one of those shows! Just thought I'd share that!

  It sounds like it is full of symbolism and meaning, but I think only you can decide what that is.

  i finally figured out why i'm so socially retarded...it just hit me.. here i was sitting and wondering why i have such a hard time meeting new people, making friends, thinking of relevent things to say, and so on.

  it really is painful and scary for me.

  i was told who i could talk to, who i couldn't talk to, what i could say, what i couldn't say.

  Another problem that I personally experienced growing up as a witness is that you had to be a certain kind of witness in order to be accepted into the social activities as the JW, as well. If you do not come from a strong spiritual family who are elders, pioneers, and servants, then you are not as easily accepted. And if you have problems in your family that do not reflect the perfect JW family lifestyle, forget it!

  I experieced both. I was an elder's daughter and my mother was a regular pioneer. In fact, I was a regular pinoeer myself when I was a teenager. One day, our family double life was exposed and everyone found out we did not have the perfect family home life that everyone thought. After that, things changed and we were treated as social rejects, even by JW standards.

  I see the same thing happening now with my teenage neice. She is not accepted by her supposed peers at the Kingdom Hall because they all come from two parent strong families, and most of them are homeschooled. At the same time, she is not allowed to have friends outside the org, so where does that leave her? As a social retard ... that's where.

  You are spot on, Merry!!!! Folks like us that were raised in the org have a tendency toward social retardation. People who have never experienced it have a hard time understanding! You mean we can just go out and TALK to people?!? Gasp!

  And if you were one of the many who were homeschooled as a witness, it only perpetuated the problem. JW kids should learn to interact with all kinds of people and they don't.

  Has The CIA Infiltrated The Upper Echelon Of The Watchtower Organization??

  the watchtowers call to all congregations for accountants and lawyers especially those familiar with tax laws makes me seriously think they may be in hot water.

  since the watchtower organization has been very vocal especially in the past about its anti-government stanse and its df'ing of persons that join the military,or other government jobs, i'm willing to speculate that the united state counter intellignece agency has seen the need to sneak some of its agents inside the wt, for internal security purposes.

  also i'm sure that the internal revenue has been keeping a close eye on the gb,, the reason being that they are a huge cash cow, and a dishonest coniving mind control cult.

  I would love to see Quotes put this section up on his website. In fact, I think all JWs should present this list of questions to everyone they ever place a mag with! After looking at that list, I do not understand how they continue to acquire converts! (Except for those poor kids brainwashed since birth)

  I'm sorry Valis! I think we might be related! My family is all crazy too! My dad was also very abusive and an elder. He got away with it for a long time. The elders did nothing. One of the times my mother spoke to an elder about it in ONE of the congregations we were in, he commended her for not bringing reproach upon Jehovah's name by making it public, since my dad was a leader! It still makes me mad! And Dr. P and all that therapy absolutely did not help anyone in my family, as they are still in the org and still crazy! But it got us out of a very bad situation, after he messed up his wife and three girls! That is more than anyone in the congo was willing to do, once our situation could no longer be hidden anymore.

  Now my dad is still somewhere in Texas hiding from the witnesses, and I am safe and sound up here in the Midwest! There were some guys in chat the other night talking about practicing their Kung Fu. If they are still interested, I think I can hook you up! (And go for the throat! )
