A question about the 44,000?
by caz ini studied with the jw's on and off for a couple of years and i could never get my head around the belief that 44,000 ( special ones) would be going to heaven and how they themselves worked out that they would be one of them?
i remember at easter one year i was invited to a 'special' meeting, i think they called it "the memorial" or something like that.
anyway, they passed around a goblet of what looked like wine and a plate of broken crackers and everyone just passed it around the whole room, from one person to the next.

Thats funny on the whole scott stapp mark tremonti thing. I used to live in tallahassee, fl and used to know those guys when they were just playing the local clubs there and would frequent partys I would have with my roommates. Scotts wife and my ex used to goto the same midwife clinic place. They were pretty cool back than , I would talk to Mark for hours about motorcycles. Back when they cut there first album they were still pretty cool peoples. Have not really been up on things about them though, they all moved along time ago and I dont think they have looked back since.

For sherry, Paul Okenfield is great!
Frankie Bones, Mettalica (older), Beatles, Hendrix, Bella Fleck and the Flecktones, Wu-tang, 50-cent, Nora Jones, Janes Addiction, Grateful Dead, Shadows Fall, Marvin Gaye, Alice in chains, Pearl Jam, Ozzy, could go on and on...but as you can see my music tastes are pretty varied...

Anonymous domain name registration?
by IT Support indoes anyone have any experience regarding anonymously registering a new domain name?
there are a number of us registrars offering anonymous, or private, domain name registration, where the registrar registers the new domain name in their own name but the customer has full rights to use, trade, sell the name, etc.
they usually charge an additional $5 to $10 per month for the service.

Yes you can put whatever for registration details but I don't reccomend it, plus if you use a credit card for registration who anonymous is that?. Case in point: I did that and the site became pretty profitable. Well if its registered to Juan Dinero from mexico it makes it pretty hard for you to prove legal ownership. The only proof to your ownership is the email address you have registered (use this to make hosting name changes and so-on). If someone gets ahold of this email (or spoof's you email address which was happening alot "domain hi-jacking") How are you going to prove its yours? I had a ex that was quite devious and got a hold of my password and changed everything to her legal name, well long to make a long story short she is the pround owner of a decent website, that I slaved over to get going. Try Yahoo domains, I just registered a domain with them, it was under 10 bucks a month for the domain, with some basic webhosting and private registration is .75 a month extra. Hope this helps, if you have any ?'s message me, thats what I do e-stores and internet development.

The Watchtower Caste System & How We All Bought Into It
by minimus inif you were a jw, you know that everything hinged upon getting privileges, doing more, climbing the theocratic ladder.
if we "made it" to ministerial servant, our goal was to reach out and be an elder.
if we were part of a family that had an elder, m.s.

the cool ones in the hall actually seemed like the biggest nerds to me, and looking back I was right. the tryed so hard to be trendy and impress other jw's (ohhh, ahhh, my my he drives a saab and snowboards). Thats cool? I hope not, lol. I mean how hard is it to impress people that are very sheltered and don't know alot about the real world. I'm sure many dubs stay for just this reason, be a little wordly and trendy and you got the horny dub girls chasing after you..lmao.. Most of those type of dubs live as close to the line as they can. I have cousins that are like that, they drive nice cars and go to football games and bars(restaruant bars of course) and golf, to some dubs there sooooo cool, but being there my cuz's and I know em, there really just normal boring dudes. The coolest ones are those who have the courage to get out and live there lifes.

So NO Russians ever walked on the moon? None?
by AlmostAtheist inhey guys,.
i was reading popular science and i staggered across a line that suggested that russia had never landed men on the moon.
that struck me as blatantly false, i knew i'd seen footage of cosmonauts on the moon.

Buck Wild!!!!!
by billyjean ini have been looking around for a while....some real intellects around here, also fun, humorless, sincere, lost, hurt......all walks of life, huh?
this is my first time joining in, and i was just wondering if anyone went totally wild after leaving the truth?

Well I was never baptized and was out a young age but, lets see lots of sex, drugs, partying, more sex, more partying. Nothing to different than what most kids were doing in my highschool, typical teenage angst I guess. I'm a couple years older than you and still have not got into college but I'm planning on starting next spring (My mom got her bachelors degree at 49 so its never too late). Its true that you need college, get your ged than get into school, theres lots of loans and grants out there to help. Btw welcome!! J
