Well, for the most of today, I'm going to be bumming around in classic student fashion, and this evening I've got work, which as I'm the most senior member in, it means I can sit back and make the minions do the work.

Ever thought of going back...
by undercover in...and raising hell?.
i read a lot of experiences that so many went through while a jw...the judicial committee meetings, the verbal abuse from elders and pioneers, the intrusion into private matters, the list goes on and on.
i haven't had to endure some of the terrible things that some have endured, though there was always the constant counsel about grooming, music, movies, cars, etc.. sometimes i think, knowing what i know now, that if i ever had to go back for whatever reason, i could really enjoy being a thorn in the side of many of the elders and over-righeous zealots.

Not really but sometimes my siblings and I talk about things in front of my parents that they arent really comfortable with
Lol. Whenever I'm around witnesses, I try to make sure I let them know how great my life is, how much fun I'm having, and I always slip a swear word in, and if I'm talking to a witness girl I make sure I ask her down the pub. Just for an innocent drink of course...

Are You Still Affected By Guilt?
by minimus indo you still feel any guilt for celebrating a birthday or holiday or associating with "worldly" people or doing anything that the watchtower has inculcated as being wrong???

I haven't gotten around to the admitting I'm celebrating b-days or xmas to my mum or family. So I do feel guilty about witholding the truth, but it's a small price to pay for peace and quiet. I think my family see not going to meetings and living my life as one thing(maybe they think I'm just rebelling), but celebrating holidays would be crossing a line, and that line could get me chucked out, I've kinda grown accustomed to living with a roof over me...

To JW's elder's wives. Did your elder husband ever have an affair with JW?
by booker-t ini was very naive as a jw child and young adult growing up.
i thought jw were perfect especially jw elders.
i did whatever they said because i thought they were appointed by jehovah and jesus.

I don't personally remember any elders leaving their wives for mistresses, but there's been at least two cases I can think of where ministerial servants have done that, what really pissed me off was that within two years I think it was, both were reinstated and married to their new wives. That was one of the first times I started questioning the bOrg, I couldn't believe these men were allowed back so soon after blatantly playing the system, to get out of a marriage but still be back in the congo within a short space of time, it seemed like something was fundamentally wrong with the way things were run.

Reveal something "weird" or "unusual" about yourself
by JH inwhatever i drink from the fridge, i put it into the microwave for 10 seconds so that it won't be too cold to drink.. .
whenever i drink ice cold liquids, it irritates my tongue/mouth and often triggers a sore throat.
now you have additional proof that i'm weird .

I like pain. I don't mean anything emotional, or sexual, although that's not 100% out of the question, but the main reason I like going to gigs, is because I love to get my arse kicked in the pit.
I've always had a thing for "geeks".
Why in god's name aren't the girls that "have a thing" for us geeks not around here? -

Should I go to the Docs?
by Jordan inok, earlier i was sitting here on the pc, when my mum comes in and says it looks like i've got a lump behind my ear, i go and have a look, and she's right, there's a lump one side, but not behind my other ear, so i'm pretty sure it's not part of my skull.
now i didn't notice this before.
but after i was told about it, i swear it's starting to hurt... is it worth getting checked out by the doc, or is it one of those things you can leave and it'll go away?

I rang the docs, got an appointment for next week. It'll probably be gone by time I go though... lol.

Are there any writers on here?
by PaulJ inok, i work in a dull 9-5 job that is busy but quite boring.
i guess by being a jw in the past i've been encouraged all along to be settled, work to get by.
my focus was supposed to be serving jehovah and nothing else.

Er, I've got a friend who writes some amazing short stories, I'll try and get her to come on here (She's a JW on the edge of the Org herself). If you're after constructive criticism, check out http://www.writing.com there used to be alot of writers on there that gave constructive criticism. Used to be a member myself, along time ago, before I realised I actually have no talent for writing. Good luck following your dreams dude...

so what are the "anointed" you know/knew like?

I've only ever known one annointed person, and she seemed alright, until I saw her smoking. I don't care what anyone else says, I know what I saw, her excuse was "I was holding it for someone". Bollocks she was, she was smoking, and both me and her knew it.

Maybe it's a pimple. Did you try popping it?
It looks blue to me, but I think that was just shadow, and me bending my neck to try and look in the mirror...
